Mated to the King

Chapter 6: The Ultimatum

POV: Autumn

That outrageous king! I stay here, until he figures stuff out. Why won’t he just rejects me. He obviously chose a mate. Then my stomach starts to burn. I scream. It starts to intensify. My claws extend and I start to claw where the burning is. I scream louder this time. The door opens and I feel someone grabbing my hands. I just keep screaming, they lift my dress up and I hear a gasp in between my screaming. They pick me up and carry me. I burry my face into the chest of who is caring me to muffle my screams. The burning finally fades as I’m laid down on a soft surface, my eyes are closed as I whimper.

“I’m going to kill him, he knows what having s*x with someone else does to one’s mate,” Cory growled out. Athena took control, she shot up.

“he’s having s*x with someone else!” Athena growled “Take me to them!”

“Hey. Hey now let’s not get you put back into the dungeons, okay?” Cory whispers, grabbing our arm pulling us to him stroking our cheek. “Let me check your wounds please.” He starts to pull off my clothes, I let him. He picks me up and takes me I assume to his bathroom. He gets a washcloth and wets it to get some of the blood off my stomach. My wounds are almost healed due to Athena coming back just for that little bit. Now she’s in the back of my mind resting sending all her healing powers to me. Cory gasps.

“Your almost healed that doesn’t happen very often normally takes a little longer. But you do have bruises from.” he trails off.

“Athena is helping me heal. Yeah, I know, we don’t have to talk about it,” I sigh. He hoes to his huge tub and starts the water.

“Will you let me bath you?” he asks shyly. I nod my head. He has seen me naked more times than I like but being a wolf I’m not too shy. He picks me up and puts me gently in the tub. The warm water relaxes my aching body. Next think I feel is the water shifting, cory got in the tub behind me. I gasp.

“What are you doing?” I say shyly, being it the first time I’ve ever done this with a guy.

“I asked if you would let me bathe you,” he shrugged. He took the braid out of my hair and all the pins. He washed my hair getting all the blood and dirt out of it. He then got a bar of soap and started washing my body to get it all clean. Once he was satisfied with how clean I was, he wrapped me in a towel and carried me back t the bed.

“How is it that you can be like this with me and my own mate can’t even stop having s*x till he breaks our bond,” I sigh as my eyes fill with tears. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me to his body.

“I’m not defending him but, he is in a tough position tight now. His council wants him to mate with Cassidy no matter who is destined mate it. He only chose her because they were threatened to overthrow him. so, he decided to choose a mate until, well, you showed up. Finding his mate was the whole reason for the ball. But now the council don’t want to budge on the chosen because her grandfather is the leader of the council. So, they rather go against the king then the leader. We had an emergency meeting after, Mack, the leader of the council had you thrown in the dungeons for attacking the queen, his granddaughter,” he growls the last part.

“So, it wasn’t even the king who threw me there?” I questioned. Cory shakes his head no.

“No, he wanted to take you straight to his house as soon as he seen me and you together, he didn’t like me trying to calm you down. He wanted to get you away from everyone’s eyes, to where no one would be able to see you in your gown,” he sighed.

“But he is the king the council is just there for suggestions, not to make decisions unless it’s a small pack matter,” I say to him. he run his finger through my hair. “And as for no one able to look at me I am my own person.” Cory laughs.

“that’s how it is so post to be but some how they got more power. Well, he is and alpha and a king, so they need to protect and be possessive is stronger. But as you can see, he wasn’t able to do any of that and now he is probably taking out his frustrations on finding you with Cassidy,” he sighed. I start to scream as the burning comes back, cory instantly grabs my hand so I’m not able to claw at my stomach. It is so much worse than earlier. Cory grabs him phone while still holding on to me he dials some one’s number.

“Listen to what you are doing to her,” he growls. I hear him in between my screams. After I few more minutes the burning is done. The door bust open, and a very angry Liam is standing there staring at my naked body clutching to Cory’s shirtless chest. The towel is still there but barley.

“Get away from my mate,” he yells. Cory growls.

“If you wanted her, you wouldn’t have been sleeping with someone else,” he says. Liam gives him a death glare.

“She is mine, not yours,” Liam snarls. I keep my head berried into cory’s chest. Not giving him the satisfaction of looking at him to see my tear-stained face.

“Liam, I called you to show you how much pain she was in to show you what you were doing to her. Not for you to come here and bust in,” cory says giving him a glare while running his hands through my hair to calm me down. Liam growls so loud the room shakes.

“She is mine get your hands off of her!” Liam yells using his alpha tone. Its time I step in now knowing cory won’t be able to refuse.

“I am not yours. You proved that tonight when you slept with someone else twice. Now you will leave now,” I growl using my own alpha voice. Cory cowers a little, Liam just stand their shocked that I have my own alpha voice that he must fight to withstand the order. He looks at me and to the blood that seeped through the towel from my not healed yet wounds.

“Why are you bleeding,” he says concerned. I glare at him

“She was in the cells when you first slept with Cassidy I didn’t get to her fast enough when I got down there, she already tore into herself. Then when you decided your needs wasn’t filled, they opened. Now I’m sure her wolf has no more energy to heal her. So brought her here and helped her,” cory growled. I can tell that he is aggravated probably thinking how Liam can do this to his own mate.

“I’m sorry I didn’t realize it would cause you this much pain. I was frustrated from everything that went down and Cassidy was there,” he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. I just glare at him

“If you let me, I want to take you to my room here at the pack house,” he said looking at me concerned, knowing ill need my mate to fully heal.

“No, I’m not going anywhere with you. Just reject me already you already chose your mate.” I growl out gripping onto cory more. This made Liam growl again.

“I am not going to reject you; I’ve been waiting for you for a long time. I could never reject you gorgeous,” he said with love in his eyes. I sigh.

“Well, I’m still not going with you. Not till you make this up to me,” I say pointing at my stomach “if you do it again, I will kill her, no matter what will happen to me. If you want to do it again reject me before you do.”

Liam just sighs.

“Okay, okay, cory just take care of her tonight meeting in the morning with the council to discuss this situation,” he says while gesturing to me. Then he walks out of the room. I didn’t realize I was on cory’s lap till he picked me up and sat me on the bed. He walked to his walk-in closet, he handed me some shorts and a shirt. I smile sweetly take them and head to the bathroom to clean the blood off again. I put on the shirt and shorts and head back out.

“I’m really sorry about him,” he sighed out cupping my face, “if I was him, I would tell the council to screw off. This will work out.”

“It’s okay cory. I really need to rest now I drained all my energy,” I say while yawing. He pulled me down on the bed and covered me up with a blanket and went to get off the bed.

“Stay please. I really don’t want to be alone right now,” I say while grabbing his hand and pulling him to me. He lays down next to me and pulls me close to him I let sleep take over.

I wake up to the bed empty, how didn’t I feel cory get out of bed. I look at the clock and see it says 4pm I slept for over twelve hours? I must have been really exhausted. At that moment the door opens.

“Your awake, I was going to wake you up this time when I came to check on you, “cory says.

“Cory why didn’t you wake me up earlier?” I sigh. He rubs the back of his neck.

“Well, I tried but Athena just growled at me and said you needed to sleep,” he shrugged.

“Athena came out?” I say shocked.

“Yeah, she wasn’t to happy. She seemed tried to, but she wanted to protect you and let you regain your strength,” he said. I just nod. “Anyway, you want to go get some food dinner will be starting here soon.” I sigh

“Can’t I just eat up here?” I ask. He chuckles

“No let’s go down to the dinning hall meet some of your soon to be people,” he says smiling. I sigh and just nod. Looking down at my clothes.

“Can I change first?” I speak. He looks at me and laughs.

“You don’t want to go in my clothes,” he laughs out then straightens up, “you know what that’s a good idea I don’t feel like getting killed today by the king.” I just nod, not knowing what to say. He walks me to my room on the other side of the castle. I go in find my luggage put on some leggings and a lose sweatshirt, so it doesn’t irritate my small wounds. We walk down to the dinning hall. As we enter all eyes turn to me. I stiffen, I lock eyes with Liam, he growls loud at everyone. He quickly walks toward me and tries to grab my hand. I move out of his reach.

“No,” I growl out. He looks shocked that I don’t want him touching me.

“I am your mate. You are mine; I can touch you if I want to,” he growls back at me. I give him a glare.

“If I was your mate, you wouldn’t have slept with someone else last night,” I sneer, and like on que that b***h comes and stands next to Liam grabbing his hand. I growl loudly at her, feeling Athena coming to the surface. She steps behind him like he is going to protect her.

“It’s not what it seems,” he sighs, unlocking his hand from hers. I just glare not wanting to say anything.

“I am your mate and the future queen. This sociopath attacked me she shouldn’t even be out here,” Cassidy whined out. I feel athena pushing through trying to kill the girl that just called our mate hers. Liam growls at her.

“You are not my mate, she is.” He says pointing at me. Cory grabs my hand in attempt to calm my wolf.

“No, you may not have marked me yet but you chose me over her last night there for I am your mate you practically rejected her last night when you were moaning out my name," she growls, glaring at me.

"Let me kill this b***h. I will end her so fast no one will even be able to stop us,” Athena said in my mind.

“You better stop talking,” I growl to Cassidy giving a glare of my own. Cory try’s yanks me back, then I realize I am standing right in front of her looking down at her. She cowers, I smile.

“I am your queen and I order you to stand down,” she tries to say in a commanding tone. I laugh at her pathetic attempt to give a command.

“Let me tell you something, I am a alpha first born, I am mated to the king. I have more power in my pinky than you do in your whole being. Now I order you to stand there and keep your mouth shut,” I command. She instantly puts her hand at her sides, and I see her lock her jaw, I smile, and Athena is howling with amusement.

“Autumn lets calm down, yeah?” cory says pulling me away from Cassidy. Liam lets out a growl to his beta. “Look I am just trying to deescalate this situation before her wolf takes control. Her wolf may be pretty much she is very, umm, powerful,” he sighs not know the words to use that won’t stir Athena up.

“I’m fine. My wolf is fine now that the b***h is not talking,” I growl, glaring at Cassidy, who shrinks under my intense gaze.

“Let’s go to my office to get way from wondering ears and eyes,” Liam sighs, gesturing towards the way to his office. Cory and I both follow him, Liam growls at cory being so close to me. We ignore him and keep following him. he opens his door to his office, gestures us to sit down.

“Well, we are here, what do you want to talk about,” I say holding back a growl,

“Look, so I had a meeting with the council they want Cassidy to be queen and you my mistress, but I will have to have a child with her to prolong the line,” he sighs. I growl loudly.

“I am your mate! I will not take the role of mistress! You are the king not the council,” I yell at him. Athena at the surface.

“I don’t get to choose this. They want someone who was raised in this society, who knows the people already,” he said.

“I am a alphas daughter I was raised to lead, I got groomed to take over my pack one day. I am the most skilled warrior in the country,” Athena growls out, my eyes turning silver as she takes over. Claws and canines elongating. Cory puts his hand on my shoulder I growl.

“I know this so does the council but they don’t believe you will make a good queen,” he says angerly as he sees my wolf take over.

“I am the rightful queen, your mate the destined one to rule beside you,” Athena growls getting tired of the king and his word she stands and pushes him towards the wall and jumps through the window shifting before we hit the ground. She shakes out her fur and starts to run as fast as she can. She runs through the forest as she catches a foul scent, rouges. She growls as two rouges strut towards her. The two are decent size wolves but no bigger than 5ft tall. One was brown and the other was a rust color. The brown one lunges Athena dodges, scraping her claws against its side. It yelps in pain. Then the rust colored one tries to snap at my front legs. Athena grabs his neck as he tried and rips its throat out. Its head and body are now separated. The brown one wounded but still alive she puts her paw on his neck and snaps it with little pressure. A few more rouges step out of the tree coverage, they all fall as easy as the first two. Now there are 7 dead rouges around us. Lucky no more rouges dare to come at me. With Athenas blood lust fulfilled, she lets me take back control. Suddenly a big black wolf comes into view, I growl. Then a brown wolf steps out from behind him, cory. So, the black wolf must be Liam, I put my snout in the air and start sniffing, I smell that amazing sent of my mates. I connect eyes with him, those silver eyes he stands about one foot taller than Athena. Then I notice the blue tips on his fur. He’s beautiful, I walk towards him, my eyes not losing the connection with his. He starts walking towards me also. He nuzzles my neck with his snout as I nuzzle his. He suddenly shifts back. He’s standing in front of me in all is naked glory. He looks at the rouges, noticing the blood on my coat. He walks around me checking for wounds.

“You do this?” he questions. I nod my head not wanting to shift back into human form in front of him.

“Seven rouges and you took them all out, incredible,” he says laughing. “Can you shift back?” he asked, I shake my head.

“Please I am having cory bring you some clothes so you won’t be naked for long,” he sighs. I shake my head again. He sighs he gives it a thought of what he’s going to say next.

“I’m sorry about earlier, you are the rightful queen. I’ve been fighting with the council members to allow you to be the queen we need, my wolf needs,” he sighs out. Just then cory comes running with clothes in his hand. He looks behind me and sees the dead bodies and his mouth goes into the “O” shape. He puts the clothes to my snout I take them and go behind a tree and shift. I go back out to them, I sigh.

“Are you okay?” cory askes coming towards me walking around looking

“We are just worried about you. I’ve never seen anyone take down so many rouges by their selves” cory explained I sighed and starting walking back. Liam grabbed my arm.

“Cory go back to the castle I want to talk with Autumn,” Liam commanded cory. He waited till cory was out of ear shot.

“Autumn, I meant what I said I am sorry. And I’m not going to stop fighting my council on this. You are my queen, and I want to be with you,” he says while taking my face into his hands. I lean into them. Then suddenly he kisses me, it takes me by surprise but it takes me no longer than a second I start to kiss back. He puts his hand behind my neck and pulls me closer, sparks are flying. Run my hands through his hair and deepen the kiss. We separate both out of breath are eyes still locked. I let out a sigh and realize he will never be able to be with me.

“Liam. I... I can’t be your mistress and if that means I must reject you I will. I’m not saying this to hurt you, but I can’t do it.” I speak. He grips me tighter and pulls me into a hug.

“I will figure this out and stand my ground with the council, just give me time please,” he said back holding me tight like he’s already losing me.

“You have two weeks, after two weeks I’m rejecting you and going back to my pack.” I said sternly, as it’s killing me inside to say these words. I can hear a growl rumble in his throat, I know hearing this is hard for him. But I can’t be a mistress to a king, I am a leader at heart and if I’m back at my pack I can help make decisions instead of getting looks of disgust for sleeping with the king while he has already mated. He just nods solemnly; he grabs my hand and we start walking back to the castle. Once we get there I go straight to my room, lay down in bed try to get some sleep even though I woke up at 4pm and now its 9pm. I’m exhausted to no end. I close my eyes and let the darkness take over.
