Chapter FourLight forced its way through the slow opening crack of Autumn's eyelids. She rolled onto her belly and buried her face into her pillow to escape it. There was a stale stench to the fabric of her pillowcase, probably a result of riding in a drafty traveling storage space for three days. There hadn't been time to do a load of wash, she'd been far too tired to bother with laundry. Her dirty pillow and sheets were carelessly tossed on the mattress as soon as humanly possible. The covers were slopped together and then Autumn had collapsed, falling asleep almost instantly. Wandering hands now felt the uncovered corner of her bed.
