The Lost Alpha Princess

Chapter 4

Kane's POV

That t**t they call a guard drags me into a room full of blood stains and not much else I'm guessing not many if anybody actually makes it past this room but I certainly will be, I look at the fool who thinks I'm a weakling and his playing right into my hands this is exactly what I planned when I decided to find the truth behind the legend of the lost Princess 2 months ago.

....FLASHBACK TO 2 MONTHS AGO....

"Look I'm going travelling for a while and was wondering if you could call some other packs I want to pass through?" I asked looking at my brothers narrowed eye's "And what exactly are you going to do while your away?" he asks instead of answering my question first. This is how it works with my older brother for every 2 questions you answer you get 1 answer from him in return.  "Looking for my mate for a start its been nearly 2 years and I want to have a look around for her" I tell him honestly because its true I really want to find her.

"What else?" my brother questions with raised brows, now this was going to be the difficult part lying, see you can't easily get s**t past my brother but here's to trying "I also want to review other parks training techniques and see how other packs work" I say giving my pre-prepared answer. He regards me for a second and I hold my breath waiting for his answer.

"Fine you can go for 6 months no more I need you here as much as anyone else got it?" he asks sternly, "Yeah, yeah that's fine thank you you're the best big brother ever you know that and hopefully I'm coming home with my mate." I say letting out the breath I was holding and running out his office before he can change his mind.

Now most of what I said was true I am looking for my mate and I am interested in other packs training and running but the main reason I'm going is to find the truth about the lost Princess, my brother never believed in it when we were kids but when we got older and he became Alpha I tried to find out more and convince him it's real he shut me down so fast.

I had been to 2 packs so far spending a week travelling in between and I was about a day away from my next stop, so far I haven't found out much about the legend I didn't already know which was frustrating but I was enjoying the other aspects of my trip except the no new information and the still missing mate. I stop by a little river to rest before I head into the new pack territory tomorrow afternoon, it's nice here quite and peaceful I've just finished my deer when I hear something coming up behind me.

As I turn around there is a beautiful woman stood in front of me but she was almost transparent, she stood still and quite for a minute before looking at me and saying something I never expected "My child you know who I am and you know that this is my original sprit but soon I will have another, she will be the ruler of all and I have been watching as you search for her." I looked at her not sure how to feel right now.

"How do you know all of this about me?" I ask her in a whisper "Come now child I know when one of you is trying to save their world and you my child will help do this, now you must listen carefully for there is not much time." I looked at her with wide eyes and nod for her to continue.

"You will find the child you seek with the enemy Gregory but to find him you must stay on your path, he will find you when the time is right but you will yourself face some harsh trials which you must succeed in, rest my child for tomorrow your quest truly begins." she disappeared right before my eye's before I had a chance to ask her any other information.

....END OF FLASHBACK....

She wasn't lying when she said the real quest started the next day because at the next pack I met her MY MATE. She is everything I could wish for and more and we have had an amazing time getting to know each other, but that voice in my head kept reminding me of what the moon goddess said.

I can't believe not only did I find my mate but I found HER I actually found HER she's real, I just gotta get out of here and help her the best I can. I waste no time in putting the guard down so I can listen to what Gregory is telling her. I will get her out of here, I just don't know how yet.
