Episode 3

902 Words
Devious ideas and plans were built on top of each other every second Blaine would speak Lon. It’s almost like he’s some sort of role model for the average criminal. Within the first week of staying in Chicago for vacation, Lon Bryce was already known as the ‘Godfather of Chicago’ which wasn’t going to look good as a title in the newspaper. He ran the place as no companies would be able to turn down his tremendous offers which always resulted in him getting more economic power and stability. As Lon and Blaine go inside Gilt Bar they both sit on the stools at the bar table, which was then occupied by Abiah as she turned around, finishing up as she cleaned a glass bottle, then putting it down looking at both of the men and kindly asking them what they wanted to drink. Lon takes off his black-sleek glasses as he puts it on the bar table saying, “I want a round of wine for me and my buddy here.” as he pulls out a wad of cash from his black leather wallet, putting it onto the table calmly and puts away his wallet back into his pocket.  Blaine looks at both of them as they talked to each other back and forth for a second; wanting to say something but didn’t. There was an odd feeling in the air right after Abiah said “Alright then coming up.” as she grabbed the wad of cash and started to pour their drinks. This feeling gave Abiah a bad vibe so as Blaine and Lon begin to drink their glasses of wine, she quietly grabs a knife that was hiding under the bar table for the staff members to use in case of an emergency and as soon as she took it out making a powerful stabbing motion at Lon he said, “Stop. I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” as she then quickly came to a stop mid-way through her attack looking directly at Lon. Blaine got into a confused state of mind where he made an odd face at both of them wondering what was going on between them. The murmur of other people around the group of three then became silent because they wanted to see what was going to happen.  Abiah says “I-I’m sorry. It’s just been a very long day and I thought you were guys were going to hurt me or someone in here. You guys look sketchy and untrustworthy, that’s all I’m saying.” as she put down the knife onto the table shaking her hand a bit from the momentum that was built up from that moment. Lon smiles, putting his drink down after sipping it once more saying “Now I didn’t really think much of it, but it looks like to me that someone has trust issues here. I do however like your sense of style; elegant yet deadly.”  A pause occurs right after he said that as Abiah replies “You are one odd person. You complimented me on taking a stab attempt at you… Who are you?” Blaine and Abiah both look at Lon as he remarks “In simple terms, I’m everything a man wishes to be and more. Other than that, you’ll just have to find out because you’ve only just begun to see the cover of the book.” As soon as Lon said that he turns to face Blaine, putting on his glasses and then all of a sudden leaves the area leaving behind both Abiah and Blaine without any reason as to why he left. Blaine asks “Where are you going, man? Don’t just leave me here.” as he starts to watch Lon walk away and faces toward Abiah behind the bar table. The two of them talked, exchanged numbers and after trying to go find Lon because Blaine was successfully able to get her into his devious company plan as well. The plan was simple; become a humongous private company that launders money and takes great amounts of profits from smaller companies through a strict contract in which Lon printed out and signed. Of course, this wasn’t going to an easy task, but with wealthy and high-status connections; it was possible.  Lon had disappeared once again going somewhere unknown by himself as he forgot he was supposed to be at a meeting between wealthy businessmen about the creation of his private company. It was apparent that Lon thought it would be strange to show up with the two of them, Abiah and Blaine as they're more of the middle-class category. It was apparent to everyone that knows Lon that he had a devil’s mind, but a human's form and appearance. Lon’s phone would be silently blown up with notifications as he was in the meeting with high-class citizens and businessmen, messages and missed calls were starting to appear on his phone’s screen throughout the meeting. However, he didn’t seem to pay any attention to any of it as he was too focused on getting this idea of a private company into reality.
