Chapter 29
It took two more weeks and a lot of subtle and not so subtle urgings by Gary and Devin before Vanni finally agreed to go clubbing one night with them. As he got ready he still debated the wisdom of the idea but he figured it had been so long that there wouldn’t be anyone around who actually remembered him. A couple of drinks, watch Devin and Gary dance, which as he recalled they did quite well, then he’d leave. They’d be happy he’d at least gone with them and he’d have taken another step to getting his life back to some semblance of what it had been before Hollis’s death. That, he had come to realize, was something he needed to do.
