Taylor frowned, not sure he liked where this was going. It sounded as though she was trying to extricate herself from the group somehow, so she could hide out somewhere and science away until she had her eureka moment. Which he had no doubt she would. But he hated—hated—the idea of her doing that by herself, with no one watching her back. It wasn’t as though she was a typical nerdy scientist, someone who abhorred violence of any kind, let alone had any skills in that department, but, kickass as she was, she was no match for a whole team of tangoes, who would undoubtedly be armed.
