Kim tutted and got to her feet, flashing Jason a wry grin. “Look at us, getting all edgy. Who the hell else was it going to be?” She made her way over to the kettle, lifted it from its cradle and took it to the sink to refill it. Jota piled into the room, making the already tiny kitchen seem positively miniscule. A chorus of “good morning”s rang out between the four of them while Kim set about making another pot of tea. As the twins sat down, Jason frowned. “I thought your guests were coming this morning? Early?” Surely they hadn’t made him sleep on a camp bed just because they couldn’t be bothered to change a set of bedding?
