Avery's P.O.V "Avery, you should come out with us tonight." My workmate Joe said. "Not tonight, buddy," I said. "You never come out. You are only nineteen; you should be having fun." He laughed. "Trust me; I have had plenty of fun." I laughed, "But I got my girl waiting at home for." I added. "You are so f*****g whipped," He chuckled, shaking his head. "Hey, I am not ashamed of that." I said, "I love my girl and our baby she is carrying." I added. "I know buddy; I am only messing." He said. "Plus, we have a couple of friends visiting that we haven't seen in a month." I said, "Another night, though." I added. I was the youngest of the team, they always messed with me, only for fun though. They knew I was crazy about Hailey and do what I can for her and Noah. Everyone has met Hailey; she sometimes stops by to see me on my lunch, bringing us all coffee. "You can head home now if you want? We can do the rest without you." Joe said. "You sure?" I asked. I wasn't meant to finish for four hours. I would be happy with an early finish so I can get home and check on Hailey and my boy, but also to see Mason and Layla. "Yes. Go act like a damn teenager for the night; you work too damn hard." He said. I thanked him, saying goodbye to everyone before grabbing my things and heading home. It would be good to see Mason and Layla, good to have some guy time. I don't really see anyone, as soon as most of my "friends" that I used to party with found out about Hailey being pregnant, they were quick to avoid me. It pissed me off at first, but then I realised they weren't my real friends. I still see a couple of them from time to time, talk to them but only about four of them, including Louisa and Dane, who were still together. And Carly and Daniel, we haven't seen them in a while though cause they were travelling, we kept in touch. Carly and Daniel will be back just in time for Noah being born. I knew Mason and Layla would already be there. I made a stop, grabbing tacos for us all and stopping by the store to stock up on a few things that I knew Hailey would need. It would save a trip at two a.m. I got back to the house, heading in quietly because none of them was expecting me home until later. I heard giggling coming from the living room, the giggle making me smile like an i***t, Hailey's laugh always made me smile. I stood at the door, watching everyone for a minute. Layla was talking away to Hailey's bump, having a full-on conversation with Noah. Hailey was giggling and shaking her head. Mason sitting there, rolling his eyes. "I swear Hailey, you better not make her broody." Mason laughed. I think it was too later, Layla had been all giddy already Noah since the moment we told her that Hailey was pregnant. I don't think Mason was quite ready for a baby yet. "What's wrong, not brave enough for it mate," I chuckled. The three of them turned to look at me as soon as they heard my voice. "Hey, I am more of a man than you." He laughed, getting up to come and give me a bro hug, "Thought you weren't due home until later." He added. "I got let away early cause you two were here," I said. "Thank God because I don't know how much more girl talk and baby talk I can take." Mason laughed. I chuckled, not he knows how I feel, doesn't he? I pulled away going over to the girl, Layla getting up to hug me. "How are you doing buddy?" She asked as she hugged me. "Good. You better not be scaring my boy," I said as I hugged back. "Hey. That boy loves his Auntie Layla; I am going to be his favourite person in the entire world, you just watch." Layla said, sticking her tongue out at me. Hailey and Mason, rolling their eyes at us. This was just how Layla and I went on; she had become one of my best friends, actually more like a sister. We bicker a lot, all in good fun though. I laughed, reaching down and kissing Hailey softly. "Hey beautiful, how you both doing?" I asked my hand on her bump. "We are both good my love; he has been very active today." She smiled. And like he knew we were talking about him, Noah started kicking like crazy. "Yes, hello to you too, my boy." I laughed, kissing her stomach. I gave everyone there lunch before taking my seat next to Hailey. I had got her an extra one because if I never? She would probably end up stealing half of mine. It was safer. I bought her two. "Aww, thanks, babe." Hailey cooed, kissing me softly. "I knew if I never you would steal mine," I laughed. "I do not know what you mean; I never steal your food." She said, pouting at me. "Sure, you don't gorgeous," I said, slipping my arm around and kissing the top of her head. Hailey flipped me off, pecking my lips before we turned our attention to our friends. "How you both been?" I asked, "And how is College going?" I added. "Good, been kept busy," Mason said. "College is going great; the two of you need to come to visit before Noah get's here," Layla said. "Yes, we should get that arranged for sure because once Noah gets here, life is going to get crazy," Hailey said, and I nodded in agreement. We both knew it was going to be hard, but it was going to be worth it in the end. "I can't wait to meet him," Layla gushed. Noah was going to be spoiled; there was no doubt about that, spoiled with love. He was going to be a lucky boy, that is for sure. I knew Layla, Carly and Louisa were going to be gushing over him always. He will be a ladies man in no time, just like his daddy. "How is your mum doing Avery?" Mason asked. "Good, she is getting out next week. She has completed her program." I said proudly. My mum had been in the recovery centre for about four months; she was doing great. She was clean and sober. My mother was a completely different person, excited about being a grandmother. "That is great," Mason smiled. "I can't wait for her to be out. She is staying here for a little while until she can get her place." I said. Hailey's parents had offered her a room here until she gets back on her feet. "That's great," Layla smiled. The four of us caught up with each other's lives. It was great to have them here. "You working tomorrow? Or can we go have a game of snooker or something?" Mason asked. "I am off tomorrow, so we can have a guys day while the girls have a girly day," I said. Layla got all excited when I said that. She was soon gushing about cute outfits for the baby and whatever else. I am dreading to see what they come back with tomorrow. "Remember we only have one room, don't be going crazy," I said, pointing at them both, chuckling. "Yeah, yeah," Layla said, rolling her eyes and clearly not listening to what I was saying. I gave her a warning look, but she brushed it off. Hailey giggled from next to me. "We won't get too much," Hailey said, batting her lashes at me. "Sure, you won't," I said, kissing her. I swear the sooner we get our own place, the better, going to need the room.
