Putting on my boxers I walked out to check on Ethan. Ethan had gone into the dining room, where Mirella kept his two tablets charging. She stored them inside a small cat carrier. The first time I had ever seen it, I had actually looked around for a cat. It wasn’t until after searching the apartment that I realized she didn’t own one. She had bought it simply to keep Ethan from getting to his tablets and destroying the charging cables. She was in the hospital resting after all. Examining the carrier, I remembered how she would feed the charging cables through the back, plug the tablets in, and then close the front door so Ethan couldn’t reach them.
