Aethelfrith's POV
"Should I call her, should I not call her" I contemplated to myself while plucking out the flowers in the garden.
"You have been doing this for hours" Leon said with anger and frustration evident in his voice.
I glanced up from my task, a small smile playing on my lips.
"Patience, Leon. Patience," I replied calmly.
"I need to make sure everything is perfect before I reach out to her." Leon let out an exasperated sigh, crossing his arms over his chest.
"You've been saying that for days, Aethelfrith. It's time to make a move or move on."His words struck a nerve, and I felt a pang of uncertainty in my chest.
Was I overthinking things?
Should I take a leap of faith and reach out to her?
But what if she rejected me?
I turned my attention back to the flowers, plucking a particularly vibrant blossom. The petals felt delicate in my hands, mirroring the fragility of my emotions.
"I can't help it, Leon," I confessed softly.
"There's something about her that draws me in. I've never felt this way before."Leon's expression softened, his frustration giving way to understanding.
"I know, Aethelfrith. Love can be both exhilarating and terrifying. But you won't know unless you try but don't forget Crimson."
"Not now please" I said, waving him off.
He was right, of course. I couldn't let fear hold me back from pursuing what could be the most extraordinary connection of my undead existence. Taking a deep breath, I made up my mind.
"I will call her," I declared, a surge of determination coursing through me.
"I will put aside my doubts and take that leap."
Leon nodded approvingly, a proud smile forming on his face. "That's the spirit, my friend. Go after what you want, and may the stars align in your favor."
I set the flowers aside and reached for my phone. As I dialed her number, my heart pounded in my chest, a mix of excitement and trepidation. But as the phone rang, I knew deep down that I was ready to face whatever awaited on the other end of the line. After all, love was worth the risk, and I was prepared to embrace it with open arms.
"Hello good afternoon, who am I speaking with?" Tryamon said from the other side of the phone.
My heart skipped a beat as I heard her voice, soft and alluring, coming through the phone. It was her. Tryamon. The Lady who had captivated my thoughts and stirred my desires.
"Good afternoon, Tryamon," I replied, my voice filled with a mix of anticipation and excitement. "This is Aethelfrith."
There was a brief moment of silence on the other end of the line, and I held my breath, wondering how she would react.
Had she been waiting for my call?
Was she as intrigued by me as I was by her?
Finally, Tryamon spoke, her voice laced with a hint of curiosity. "Aethelfrith... I've been expecting your call."
A rush of relief flooded through me, mingling with a renewed surge of confidence. "Is that so?" I replied, unable to conceal the delight in my voice. "I must admit, I've been thinking about you quite a bit since our encounter."
There was a soft chuckle on the other end of the line, sending shivers down my spine.
"I'm glad to hear that, Aethelfrith. I've been thinking about you too."
As Tryamon spoke, her voice flowed through the phone like a gentle melody, wrapping around my senses with its undeniable sweetness. There was a captivating warmth in her tone, a tenderness that seemed to embrace every word she uttered. It was as if her voice carried the essence of velvet, soft and smooth, lulling me into a state of enchantment.
A wave of excitement washed over me, fueling my determination to see where this could lead.
"Would you be interested in meeting again?" I asked, my voice filled with anticipation.
There was a brief pause, and I held my breath, waiting for her response. Finally, she spoke, her voice filled with a tantalizing hint of mischief.
"I would be delighted, Aethelfrith. Let's make arrangements."
Each syllable was carefully articulated, carrying a hint of playfulness and a touch of mystery. It was a voice that held the power to both soothe and ignite a fire within me. There was a gentle cadence to her speech.
It was as if her voice held a gentle caress, wrapping me in a comforting embrace that made me feel seen and understood.Listening to Tryamon's voice over the phone, I couldn't help but be drawn deeper into her allure.
A surge of joy welled up within me, and I couldn't help but smile.
"Sure, I will text the venue and time" I ended the call.
"She said yes," I said to Leon as I jumped for joy.
"Okay, then go get ready," Leon replied boredly.
"But there is only one problem" Leon looked up from his phone.
"What problem?" He asked.
"I don't know where to take her" I scratched the back of my head and smiled sheepishly.
Leon sighed, setting his phone aside and giving me an exasperated look.
"Aethelfrith, you've got to plan these things ahead of time," he chided, his frustration evident in his voice.
I nodded sheepishly, realizing my oversight.
"You're right, Leon. I should have thought this through. But now I need to come up with a plan quickly." Leon's expression softened, and he crossed his arms, contemplating the situation.
"Well, what are her interests? What does she enjoy?" thought for a moment, trying to recall our conversation and the things we had in common.
"She didn't really say," I replied,
" But Perhaps a visit to a local art gallery, museum, concert, restaurant or live band would be a good choice." Leon nodded approvingly.
"That's a solid idea, Aethelfrith. It shows thoughtfulness and allows for conversation and connection."
Encouraged by his response, I grabbed my phone and quickly searched for nearby art galleries and museums. After a few minutes of browsing, I found one that seemed promising, known for its contemporary exhibits and unique installations.
"I've found a place," I announced, showing Leon the details on my phone.
"It seems like an interesting venue, and I think Tryamon would appreciate it."Leon glanced at the screen, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
"Looks like a great choice, Aethelfrith. Now, all that's left is to decide on the time and send her the details."
Excitement bubbled within me as I quickly composed a text message, including the date, time, and location of our planned outing. With a deep breath, I pressed send, feeling a mix of nerves and anticipation coursing through me.
"Now, my friend," Leon said, clapping me on the back.
"It's time to get ready. Make sure to do your best to wool the lady ." Leon winked.
I nodded, grateful for his guidance. This was my chance to create a memorable evening with Tryamon and perhaps pave the way for something more.
