oOo The next day we practically sprinted down to the beach. The sand was soft and warm, and there was a slight breeze, but the sea was absolutely b****y freezing. It didn’t stop us from dipping in and out all day long though, to bring down our core temperatures, which were soaring. It was absolute heaven. At midday, we went to a beach bar and ordered a couple of chicken salads and a bottle of vinho verde—green wine— called Gazela, which was cold, quite sweet and utterly delicious. While we sat and talked, a couple of very attractive young men walked up the stairs and sat down at the table next to us.
