I pushed the thought back to the dark recesses of my mind and came back to reality. 'Grayson?'
'Uh, huh?'
'Will you give me some time to think things through?'
'Of course. Just don't go running off for another couple of weeks without a word, okay?'
I nodded with a smile. He gently kissed my cheek and walked backwards out of the room. 'I'll wait for you. As long as it takes. I'll be here for you.' And then he was gone.
