The place was filled with tourists wearing alpaca wool jumpers and funny pointed hats with earflaps, most of them armed with selfie sticks. How lame, thought Teya. There were also lots of traditionally dressed people, Andean folk who were probably wearing the same type of clothes as their ancestors. The women wore big brightly coloured skirts with tight waists and embroidered jackets and shawls, and the men wore funny little brown suits with old-fashioned hats.
