9 Moonflowers Beep beep beep beep… ‘Holy crap.’ Teya wanted to tunnel backwards into warm sleep. She cracked open a gritty eye and saw the time on her mobile. Four-thirty. Bummer. There was a muted grumbling from a Zarita shaped lump in the other bed. Teya swiped her mobile to stop the alarm, rolled off the bed and started to get ready in the dark. It would be several days before she bathed again, so she jumped in the shower and washed her hair. She felt groggy and her head was sore. She ate the breakfast that Papan made for her, and threw back some coffee to try to wake up.
