“Miss Wilson, can you explain what characterized the era of the Greeks?”.
The voice of the arts and history teacher resonated inside my brain, bringing me back from my mild relapse.
Although I am good at history, since I spent my young preteen age reading about them, I was not in the mood to go through all of this. I was emotionally drained and was trying to stop my heart from thinking too much.
“No idea, ma,” I answered, sitting down.
“Miss Wilson, this is a class and an interactive one at that. I suggest you contribute because I will not go with the ‘no idea’ excuse. You’re a student,” the teacher glared at me.
