50 years ago, a child was born with an unknown disease later found to be a special trait that would forever change the course of history and future generations, the very first quirk.  Starting that day on numbers of similar cases emerged from different parts of the globe causing an uproar of events that lead to war. A few years later a system was designed to maintain peace and order between the powerful and the powerless. And from that day on, a society of heroes and villains along with quirkless civilians was born. Series of unexplainable crimes begin to surface, where quirks were used as an advantage against the police. With almost 30% of the world's population recorded to be a part of the quirk spectrum this lead the Global Union come to an agreement in embracing the new normal and try to keep chaos at bay. Special schools were built to help children with developing quirks learn more about how their powers work and how to control them, a special course was then introduced where they were given a choice to use these powers to protect people or to continue on with their normal lives.  Hence the birth of the Hero Society.
