Chapter 15 Astrid’s POV My eyes narrowed as Rhett slid his phone into his jacket pocket like it was something sacred. “Mercedes?” I repeated softly, but with an edge. He didn’t look surprised, but his jaw ticked. “She’s no one important.” No one important. Right. I hummed like I believed him, though the bitter taste in my mouth said otherwise.
