Baffled, I circle the stable yard. I came to help exercise Charlie, but there’s no sign of her. Or of Oliver, that Dad usually rides. In fact, I find I’m enjoying riding. Charlotte’s pregnancy has given me a good excuse for it. And I get to kill two birds with one stone.
