Chapter 9: Basketball match

I am practicing in the basketball court with my team. Today is a very big match and also the last match of this year. We are practicing so hard for this match. I want to win it. Can’t believe the year is coming to its end and we will be graduated this year. Our coach came stopping our practice.
“That’s it boys the practice is complete. Now go and rest so you can play this game with new spirit. We will win this game” he said cheering our moral.
“Yes, we will” we said with full enthusiasm. Everyone dispersed going there own ways.
I went towards my car. A thought came in my mind when I was on my way. I went in home and saw Anna preparing lunch.
“Hey you back. Go freshen up lunch is ready” she said with a huge smile on her face.
“Will be right back” I replied and went in the direction of my room. When I came back out of my room I saw Anna waiting for me on stool beside kitchen counter.
“What’s with this huge smile on your face” I asked looking at her face.
“Nothing” she said while making a cute face.
“You don’t know how to lie. Now tell me what mischief you are planning?” I asked raising my one eyebrow.
“Nothing mischievous. Just a small surprise for you. After all today is your special match” she replied.
“Ok”
We went to our room to take some desirable rest before going back to school. I don’t know what she is planning but I am not afraid because her plans are always cute just like her. I took some nap thinking about the surprise that is waiting for me.
When I went out of the room ready, I saw the biggest surprise making me a huge smile plaster on my face. Standing in front of me was Anna wearing my jersey.
I wanted it to happen but I didn’t know how to ask her. She completed my wish without me asking her.
“How am I looking?” she asked me smiling shyly.
I don’t know what to say. I am just staring at her with adoration. She waved her hands in front of my face breaking the spell.
“You didn’t answer. How am I looking? Did you like your surprise?” she asked me again.
“You are looking so cute and I loved your surprise. Thank you for this, now I will surely win the game.” I said hugging her and kissing her forehead.
“Now we should leave” I said taking her hand.
