Chapter 3: First Clashes and Rivalry

405 Words
Lâm Hy officially became the Support for the Thunder Bolt team. Life in the gaming house was not as easy as she had imagined. Shen Dực, as the captain and main AD carry, constantly made things difficult for her. Every training session, he would make demanding requests and offer blunt criticisms of her playstyle. "Bunny, you just missed a perfect poke. Your Karma isn't a doll that just stands there and watches," he said, his cold tone infuriating Lâm Hy. "Ares, you should focus on farming your minions. Don't criticize others when you're not perfect yourself," she retorted without flinching. Their heated arguments became a daily occurrence in the practice room, leaving other team members shaking their heads in exasperation. However, strangely enough, despite their constant clashes, their skills complemented each other perfectly. Lâm Hy's movements and spell casts always synchronized incredibly well with Shen Dực's attacks. They were like two opposing pieces that formed a complete picture on the Wild Rift map. One evening, after the training session ended, Lâm Hy stayed behind alone to practice more. She was trying to execute a difficult combo with Karma when Shen Dực unexpectedly appeared. He stood behind her, his breath fanning her neck, making her jump. "Wrong," he said, his voice deep. "You should cast Q first, then use E to increase your movement speed and approach the target." He reached out, placing his hand over hers, guiding her fingers on the screen. His palm was warm, enveloping her hand. A small electric current ran through Lâm Hy's arm, making her heart skip a beat. She tried to remain calm, but her face was already flushed. "I... I know," she stammered, quickly pulling her hand away. Shen Dực looked at her, a strange glint in his eyes. He said nothing more, simply walked away, leaving Lâm Hy with a pounding heart and a confusing, indescribable feeling. Such accidental touches became more frequent. Sometimes it was when Shen Dực leaned down to show her a ward spot, other times it was when he accidentally brushed her waist as he passed by. Each time, Lâm Hy felt a small tremor, a curiosity about this cold man. But she always tried to ignore it, telling herself that these were just fleeting emotions, not worth bothering with. She didn't know that Shen Dực was also struggling with similar feelings, and he was planning to "conquer" her in his own way.
