Any updates about the whereabouts of Ayari? I asked Baku and Ester, who just have returned from Pine Lagoon.
So, we don't have much information. Saldang came with us to look for ways to locate Ayari in no time. Baku answered.
"Don't worry, Apo, we will find Ayari in no time. Actually, I have places in mind that might be where Ayari is, but some are accessible. If you want to, we can ask for guidance from the Oracle at the Mourning Valley." Saldang said.
"I also thought of that. There's nothing wrong if we can seek help from others. Also, just a warning, I had another vision with the enemies, as if they were forming an army now. So we should look for Ayari as soon as we can. There's no time to waste." Ani said.
"I suggest that you head to Adlaw as planned without Ayari to check on the status, but this will be a difficult one. I need you to strengthen your powers while looking for Ayari. We can't let him do all the work." Saldang suggested.
"Okay, we will do what you say. I want to improve my skills too. I feel like I am being left behind." Ester said.
"I agree with my sister. I'm willing to train with them too," Anan said.
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"For the training, I can help you with that," Makisig said.
"While you are on training, I'll go ahead and check on Adlaw," I said.
"I'll go with you, Apo. It might be dangerous if you will go alone." Baku said.
"No, I suggest you stay here, Baku. Thank you for the offer, but you should protect them here while I am gone. We cannot afford being attacked by the enemies again." I said.
"Okay, if that's what you say so. But please be careful. We don't want another incident where we will be losing another friend here." Baku said.
"Thank you, guys. I'll go ahead and prepare, then I will leave tonight." I said.

Pin-atubo, Ingo's Place
I don't know how to explain how I feel right now after Makiling showed me her injury. The reason she just stayed in this room because her movements were limited because of her situation right now. The more I think about her, the more I want to get stronger and ultimately end this darkness. I know I have been telling myself about this many times, but I suddenly felt I was going nowhere because of what happened during the Purification ritual.
What should I do now? I can't stay like this forever. I can't see any development.
I'll make this an opportunity to grow even further.
"Can you tell me more about that, Lobo?" I said.
"Sure, I'll show what happened here twenty years ago. Come closer, Ayari." Makiling said.
I followed what she said and sat down in front of her. She touched my forehead and began humming a melody. I suddenly felt sleepy, and I tried to fight it. I heard Makiling said that I should not resist the urge, and I did what she said.
I felt my consciousness fading, and when I woke up, I was floating in space. Then the scenery started to change. I can see a massive mountain in front of me, and people gathered there carrying their offerings. They were calling upon a name which I can't hear properly, and after a few minutes, a loud howl can be heard from the distance. The birds started to fly away, and the ground rumbled.
After that, an immense aura radiated from that area. I was surprised by what I saw. It was a gigantic wolf. It's as big as Saldang and Baku when they morph into their dragon forms.
The scenery changed, and I was transported to a place that looked like the lair of the beast. Magical energy was overflowing in this place, and life was abundant.
The scene changed where people began to take as much from the mountains, causing the destruction of the forest near the beast's lair. I can feel the loneliness coming from the beast.
I have been transported to a different timeline again. and the forces of evil were attacking Pin-atubo. The beast was trying to defend the citizens of the island. They began to flee because of the attack from the enemies.
The heralds tried to capture the beast. At first, he tried to resist the enemies, but he fell into the trap because of protecting the people. He soon began to change, and instead of giving off positive energy, the beast started to emit an ominous aura.
He attacked the villagers together with the enemies, leaving ruins in their paths. The beast decided to go back to its nest, and the once abundant forest began to rot because of the evil aura.
The scene changed, and when I woke up, I was back in Makiling's room. Ingo offered me a glass of water, which I took and drank as much as I can. The scenes that I saw caused my throat to dry up.
After that, I just looked at Makiling, and I don't know what to say with the fragments of memories that I saw.
"About what happened, I felt like I was there at the place where you showed me everything," I said.
"That's one of my abilities, I can take you back on the past and show you what happened, but it's also limited. I can take you only as far as twenty-five years." Makiling said.
"Like what Ingo said, how are we going to defeat the Lobo at the Cordilleras? From what I saw, that beast is too powerful. I must admit, my powers are not fully developed, and I don't want to have other complications this time."
"That I don't know either. I'm sorry, but it's like we are throwing you in the fight without preparations." Makiling apologized.
"It's okay, I understand. We can figure this out. Let's just plan this carefully. Let's use the information that you have with the beast." I said.
"Actually, Ayari. I have a plan in mind. Like I told you before, I can tap spiritual energy, right?" Ingo said.
At first, I was confused about what he said, but I then remembered the nature of his spiritual energy.
"Are you sure about that? It's dangerous, Ingo. We can find a different way to defeat the enemy." I said.
"But unlocking your abilities will be easier than looking for a different option," Ingo said.
"I have to say no to your offer. I know that using your powers has a toll on your body. I guess this is what Makiling will say too." I said.
I looked at Makiling, and she just smiled at me. I can't let them do this to a stranger that they just met. I don't know if how I can repay their kindness.
"I have a plan instead, Ingo. I would like to check the forest near Cordillera personally." I said.
"If that's what you want, Ayari. But if your mind changes, just tell me, okay. I am more willing to help you since you are the chosen of the moon." Ingo said and tapped my shoulder.
"Again, thank you so much for your kindness to a stranger like. I'll repay you once everything is over." I said.
-------
The next day, Ingo entered the room and asked me if I was ready. I told him that I'm good if we can go earlier. We both agreed to leave at dawn so that we can reach the Cordilleras in no time.
I've been meaning to ask Ingo if how he can manage to live almost being blind. I know that he can sense spiritual energy, but how about on a daily basis?
"Do you want to ask something, Ayari?" Ingo asked.
There he goes again. It's like he can really read my mind. Or am I too predictable?
"It's nothing, Ingo," I said.
"Are you sure? I can feel that you want to know about something."
"How should I put this? To be honest, I am really curious about how you can survive without your sense of sight." I said and looked at Ingo.
"I don't have a choice, Ayari. I need to move forward and accept everything. I need to live my present fully even my situation is like this." Ingo said.
"But, isn't it difficult to move around like this. I am really amazed at how you can manage to do things in this situation." I said.
"It took me a lot of time to accept things; also, I need to step up myself. I gathered enough courage, not only for me but also for my sister."
"How I wish I had that trait in me. You know what, your sister is fortunate to have a loving sibling like you." I said.
Ingo did not answer this time. We continued following the pathway, but at this distance, I can sense the evil aura already.
Here we go.
