I went back to the room after talking with the siblings. They advised me to rest before the amplification ritual, which will be burdensome for Ingo and me.
I hope nothing goes wrong with the ritual tomorrow. To be honest, aside from helping these siblings defeat the beast Lobo, I also wanted to go back to my team as soon as possible. I am a bit worried about their situation.
What if the enemies attack them again without them knowing. What if they do that because of my absence? I m getting worried again.
Here I go again, overthinking things. I hope that my siblings will be safe while I am here. I tried to sleep but I can't. A lot of things were going through my mind, and it's killing me.
The next day, I heard someone knocking on the door. When I looked outside, the sun was high up already. I stood up and picked up the towel on the table. I headed to the door and opened it. Ingo was there, carrying a tray with food.
I told him to get inside and place the things that he was carrying on the table. I headed to the other table beside the window and dipped the towel on the basin with water. I rubbed my face until it was clean.
I looked at Ingo, and he was attentively looking at every action that I make.
"So are you ready now, Ayari?" Ingo asked.
"To be honest, I was a bit worried because I can't shake the idea from my head the possibilities that might happen during this ritual," I answered.
"I see. I understand how you feel. Even I felt a bit worried too with the outcome of this ritual, but let's trust each other for the ceremony to be successful." Ingo said.
I can sense that he was worried too. I went to his side and patted his shoulder.
'Let's hope that everything will go smoothly." I said and smiled at him.
Before doing the ritual, I decided to go to Makiling's room. I wanted to thank her personally because this ritual will cause a toll on his brother's body, but she still agreed.
I knocked on the door, and when I heard that she said to go in, I opened it.
The room was filled with the scent of the morning rain. The freshness of the forest filled my nose. As usual, there were still animals that stayed with Makiling, as if they were talking to her. I can tell that every creature around her loves her. She looks like some sort of an animal whisperer. Well, I can sense that she has an affinity with nature, and maybe that's one of the reasons why.
She waved her hand and pointed to the chair beside her, which I went to and sat down. I can feel the animals were observing me, as I can feel their gazes. I can sense that they want to communicate with me too.
As soon as I sat down, the butterflies began to flutter around me. Some of them even landed on my head and shoulders. I don't know, but I suddenly felt excited about what I am experiencing right now. The birds began to fly around me, too, chirping happily.
What surprised me the most was that the lion sitting outside her window went in and moved towards me. The lion lowered its head, asking for something. I looked at Makiling, and she pointed out that I rub the lion's head. I feel so happy right now.
I can tell that these animals want to communicate with me. Though I cannot understand them, it seems like they want to cheer me up. That's what I am feeling right now.
I looked at Makiling, and she was just smiling at the sight that she was seeing.
"Makiling, the reason why I am here is to formally thank you for the things you have done with me so far. I don't know how I can return your kindness, but still, thank you so much for taking care of me." I said.
"Your welcome, Ayari. It's our pleasure to help you with your battle, and I hope you can be successful with your journey moving forward. My only wish is, after everything, I want you to tour me on the other side of this island." Makiling said.
"Of course, I will be pleased to do so. I also want to introduce you to my siblings and friends. I know you will like their company." I said.
"Thank you so much, Ayari. I might not know you personally, but I can tell your heart was pure after staying here for a few days. These creatures around us can relate to you. Usually, if you would notice, some of them want a human's presence, but look at this, they want to talk with you." Makiling said.
"Well, yes. I am amazed as well. Somehow, I can tell that these creatures were cheering for me." I said.
"I hope you feel better now, Ayari. Focus on the ceremony, and please, don't worry about my brother. Ingo made his decision, and all we can do is make everything a success." Makiling said.
"Thank you so much, Makiling. I promise that everything will go smoothly. I have a question, where are we going to perform this amplification ritual?"
"Oh, we forgot to tell you about that. We are going to do that in the waterfall just a few walks away from this house. I told Ingo to mention this to you, but it seemed that he forgot as well."
"A waterfall?" I said.
"Yes, Ayari. This waterfall has abundant spiritual energy that can help you with the process. This will help the two of you not exhaust your spiritual powers." Makiling explained.
"I see. I'll take note of this." I said.
"So, are you ready now, Ayari?" Makiling asked.
"Yes, I am ready now," I said.
"Wait, before you leave, take this," Makiling said.
She took her brooch and gave it to me.
"This is?" I asked.
"Use my brooch during the ceremony. This will help the two of you to complete the ritual."
"Thank you so much, Makiling," I said and waved goodbye at her.
I went back to the room to prepare for the ceremony. I checked if there was something that I should do, but I remembered that I should calm myself down. I reached for the teapot on the table and drank some to quench my thirst.
After a few moments of waiting, Ingo knocked on the door again and asked if I am ready. I told him that we are good to go. I picked up the brooch on the table and placed it on my dimensional storage.
We left the house after the preparation. I asked Ingo if where was the location of the waterfalls that Makiling mentioned. Like what Makiling said, It was not far from this place. Ingo told me that it will take us several minutes to reach the place.
I also asked Ingo if why they chose the waterfall to perform the ritual. He told me that his spiritual energy was affiliated with water, and he can perform better if he is in that location.
While on our way, the path that we are following began to be rocky. It was a bit slippery because of the dew from the trees. I love the scent of the forest, and it is calming. The animals saw us while walking, and to our surprise, some of them were following us as if they want to witness the ritual themselves.
After a few minutes, we arrived at the location. I was amazed by the scenery as usual. Orient Seas has a really lot to offer when it comes to places like this. The area within the waterfall was so unique. The turquoise water was captivating. The falls themselves were high-terraced and filled with a lot of small basins. I never saw something like this before. This was really wonderful.
I excitedly hurried towards the banks of the waterfall. The water was clear up close. I can see a lot of small fishes happily swimming in the water. Some creatures were busy drinking on the water. I am literally in love with this place.
I looked at Ingo because he might think that I might be overjoyed by the scenery. I saw that he was just smiling looking at me.
"Go ahead, Ayari. Enjoy this place first." Ingo said while pointing in the water.
I removed my sandals and placed my feet in the water. It was so refreshing. The water was cold, and it was so refreshing. I sat down on the edge of rock and enjoyed the scenery.
I wish I can show this to Apo. I mean, to everyone. I'm pretty sure that they will enjoy this place too. Ingo took out his parcel and got some snacks. He also took out a small water container and gave them to me.
"What's this?" I asked.
"Go on, Ayari. Eat first. I know you will love this place. That's why I brought something to match the mood." Ingo said and sat down beside me.
"Thank you so much, Ingo," I said and ate the food that he gave.
"No, Ayari. We should be the ones thanking you for agreeing with our request and also for letting me help you recover what you lost. The very reason that I asked you to help us was because of these beautiful sceneries in nature. I want to restore some of them and also take care of these places. I know it will take a lot of time what Pin-atubo lost, but I hope to see the place abundant with life like you."
"I understand your intentions Ingo, that's why I agreed with this. Also, what happened to me was a blessing in disguise. I would never have a chance to meet you and Makiling. Also, I would never see this place in my whole life. Thank you so much for showing me this, Ingo. Like what I promised, I'll repay you once everything is over." I said.
After several moments of talking about random things and taking some rest, we decided to start the amplification ritual.
"So what are we going to do now, Ingo?" I asked.
"Let's pick the biggest basin here, and we will perform the ritual there," Ingo said.
I hopped on the stones and looked around to check if it would be best to perform the ceremony. I kept looking until one of the basins caught my attention. The basin was not that big, but I can sense a great flow of spiritual energy there.
I pointed that basin to Ingo, and he agreed to perform the ritual there. We slowly jumped over the stones, and after a minute, we reached the bay. It was really overflowing with energy. I soon as we dipped our feet in the water, the power rushed on our body.
I was surprised by what Ingo was doing.
"Hey, Ingo. What are you doing?"
"Taking off my clothes, of course," Ingo said.
He began to remove his clothes, revealing more of his skin. His body was perfectly toned, and his skin even shined more under the sun. His milky white skin was so unique. I felt my blood rushing on my face and my ears getting hot. When he began to remove his undergarments, I instantly shifted my position looking in a different direction.
"Is this really necessary?" I said, my voice cracking a bit because of the embarrassment.
"Yes, Ayari. We need to do this for our body to completely allow the flow of energy within us." Ingo answered.
"I see. I'm sorry, I'm just not used to this setup." I said.
Ingo chuckled after hearing my response.
"It's okay, Ayari. There is no need to be shy, and as I said before, I can barely see the surroundings, so no worries. But in your case, of course, you will see everything. Well, it's not really bothering me if someone sees me like this. After all, we are both men here." Ingo said.
I understand what Ingo was trying to point out, but the last part was a bit off for me. In his case, it will be okay, but on my end, I am not used to this kind of thing. Well, I guess I don't have a choice now.
I started to strip off and removed everything from my body. I placed my garments on a stone near us. The cold water began hitting my skin. I took out the brooch that Makiling gave and held it in my hand.
"Ingo, I'm ready," I said.
