I can feel the warmth radiating from our marks, and it continued to shine. The three of us shared the same reaction. We are amazed by what happened. Lakambini was right, the third successor is near us, and it's my sister. How?
I remembered the time when I asked Ester to show her abilities to me. I did notice the mark on her arm, but it's not as bright as it's like today. It did not resonate with my pattern at that time. I looked at Ester's reaction, and there was a bit of confusion. I can feel that she already knows what will happen.
"Ester, do you know when did you have this mark?" I asked.
"I'm not sure big brother, but there was one incident that I can remember." Ester said.
"When was it?" Ani asked.
"It was the time when Big Brother Ayari joined the selection and got hurt badly. I kept on wishing to have the ability to protect someone that I love." Ester said.
"Also, I dreamed that I was floating in space, and the stars were so close to me." Ester added.
"It's okay, we understand." I said and patted Ester's head.
"We need to tell Baku, and I'll go and pick him up." I said.
But before I stood up, a bright light exploded in my room. I can't see anything. When I opened my eyes, we were floating in space. I looked around and saw that Ester and Ani were together with me.
"Are you both okay?" I asked.
"Yes, we are. Where are we, big brother?" Ester asked.
"I don't know either." I said, looking at the girls.
"Don't be afraid, chosen warriors of the Celestial Seats." Said a voice that was sweet as honey but still authoritative.
We looked around and saw a beautiful woman, and she reminds me of someone. She looks so familiar.
"I am Tala, Guardian of the Evening and the Stars." The woman said.
After introducing herself, we got transported to a different place. We saw Tala standing down the corridor next to a doorway from which emerges a flickering light. She is a little woman, and she has a great sense of high voltage about her. Though calm like Mayari, she has this positive aura radiating from her. She wore a golden gown with specks of silver and black that looked like the galaxies and paired with a high-heeled pump embroidered with diamonds. She looked so elegant and radiant, the same as the stars in the night sky. There is a star-patterned scarf around her neck and wounded around her head, a turban of the same material. Her skin is ashen, and she was wearing golden bangles.
The doorway opened, and Mayari and Anitun Tabu appeared.
"We are sorry for calling you suddenly in the middle of the night. Tala insisted on meeting you too and, she was so excited." Mayari said.
"Uh, okay, but why did you call us all of a sudden. Does this have to do with the awakening of my sister?" I asked.
"Sort of, but there are other things that we need to tell you. But we need to hurry, and time is running fast for us deities." Anitun Tabu said.
"The heralds appear in every part of the Orient seas, and the rate is alarming." Tala said.
"The seal is weakening, and you need to find the two remaining successors as soon as you can. I know things might sound a bit in a rush, but you need to make haste." Mayari said.
"I believe Lakambini told you to cultivate your strength, Ayari?" Mayari said.
"Yes, I talked with her in my dream earlier." I answered.
"Unlike these two maidens here, the creator initially gifted them with spiritual energy, so they are stable." Mayari explained.
"You did acquire a tremendous amount of power, but it's raw. It's not stable, and it can be one of your weaknesses. We want you to overcome this and lead the other warriors before the seal breaks." Anitun Tabu.
"I'll have Baku guide the three of you so that you can use our abilities to their's full potential." Tala said.
"Yes, we understand." I said and bowed my head to the deities. Ester and Ani did the same.
"Please take care, the forces of evil got more robust in a fast manner, so it would be best to prepare." Anitun Tabu said.
"Why did you not tell us before?" I said out of nowhere.
Oh my goodness. My mouth sounded so rude.
Mayari smiled at me, and the other two did the same.
"We understand, Ayari. I know everything is confusing, and it feels like we are asking you for too much, but please bear with us. The celestial seat has laws of its own, and we cannot disclose any information even we wanted to tell them to you. That's part of the harsh life that all of us had." Mayari said.
"I understand, and I'm sorry. I can't control my emotions. Everything was so confusing for me, and I have a lot of questions running through my mind. I know Ani and Ester are the same." I said.
"I agree with Ayari, and everything seemed so fast." Ani said. Ester nodded her head too.
"We understand everything, but we can only tell you now is to trust one another, okay?" Tala said.
"I also want to know why you chose my sister?" I asked Tala.
"Your sister is considered a direct descendant." Tala answered.
"A direct descendant?" I said.
"I'm sorry, but that's how far I can tell you things about, and you will learn the truth soon." Tala said.
"We wanted to guide you in your growth, but the things that we can do are limited. You will find out soon. Be safe, our dear warriors." Mayari said.
Another blinding light exploded around us, and when we opened our eyes, we are back in my room.
I looked at Ani and Ester, their expressions saying that they want to know more. I was like that when I came into Orient Seas. All we can do know, as the goddesses said, is to trust one another.
"That was a hell of a ride." Ani said, scratching her head.
Who would have thought that a pretty maiden like her would speak in this manner? It's so refreshing and funny. If she existed in the real world, I wanted her to be my friend.
"I can't stop myself and started laughing out loud." Ester laughed at her too.
"Hey, what's wrong with you guys?" Ani asked.
"No, it's nothing." I said and smiled at Ani.
We heard someone running towards my door. Ani and Ester moved beside.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Master, it's me. I rushed here because I heard some noise coming from your room." Baku said.
"Oh, it's nothing." I said, and the girls nodded in agreement.
"Baku, you won't believe this." I said.
"What is it, Master?" Baku asked.
Ester moved forward and showed the mark on her arm. From worried, Baku's expression changed into surprise. I laughed at his face.
"A chosen warrior?" Baku said.
"Yes, and my sister is the Star Maiden." I said.
"But why did she only gave off little light energy?" Baku said.
"I also asked that with The Star Goddess Tala, but she did not answer. She only told us that we would know soon." I said.
"I understand. It must have something to do with the rules of the Celestial Seat." I said.
"Did you find the relic of Tala, or did she give it to Ester?" Baku asked.
"No, Tala did not give us the relic. I believe Ester doesn't know where it is too." I said.
"This isn't good, and we need to find the relic of Tala. If it falls into the wrong hands, calamity might fall over the Orient Seas." Baku said.
"Calamities? How potent is the weapon of Tala?" Ani said.
"The Star Shatterer is so dangerous, and the Star Goddess uses it only during important times. Though it brings life, it can carry death too." Baku said.
"How are we going to look for it?" Ester asked.
We need to find clues about the location of Estrella, the lost village of the stars.
"Do you know how we can find it?" I said.
"Of course. I have some clues up my sleeve." Baku said confidently.
-
Outskirts of Bulan, Northern Part
Blackened earth and smoking sky
Flames arise, a burnt path lies ahead
"Did you hear that?" The warrior said to his companion.
"No, you are just overthinking because of what happened to the others." The other man said.
The man continued to stay on guard, then she heard the singing voice again.
No hell, the death of the world
My love and death, the end of the world
Dark and heavy, the end of the world
Still holding kicks, second chances
"Man, I'm not kidding. Can you not hear the voice?" The warrior said.
"Hey, man. Where are you, don't play tricks on me." The warrior said again.
Then all of a sudden, he heard a loud chilling voice.
"Ahh! Help me!"
The warrior rushed to his companion and saw nothing. He looked around, but he cannot find his buddy. His breathing was getting heavier as he kept on searching. He started to hear the voice again.
I come from a place where men wearing blades.
Cause fear of death makes me kill more than I can eat
Through the jaws of death, I find a seat.
Fear ran down through his body, and he tried to escape. All of a sudden, the body of his companion fell in front of him, shriveled up. He shouted in fear and ran again with his thoughts were only for survival. He overlooked the roots of the tree and stumbled.
"Why are you running, I want to play with you?" The voice said.
The man turned around and saw a woman, a black hood. On her right hand was the head of another warrior. Fearing for his life, the man started to crawl.
"Help!" He shouted, but no one answered. He heard the woman laughing like it's having fun.
All he can hear was an ominous laughter while his life was fading away.
Delicious. Haha!
