It was time for me to leave and set off for my journey. Anan and Ester kept on convincing me, but I told them that I don't want them to be in danger. Baku agreed with my decision too.
Before heading out, I went to the Moon Pavilion and bid goodbye to my parents. They told me that I should be careful because I am being targeted by enemies. Mother gave me an amulet. She said that the amulet will ward off evil and bad luck. Father also gave me a set of potions that I can use in my journey.
After saying our goodbyes, I headed straight to the village gate. I heard someone calling me. I told Baku to hide in my bag.
It was Ester and Anan that was calling me. I thought that they will convince me again to come with me. Instead, both of them gave me a small pouch. Ester said that it's a good luck charm. I hugged them both and told them that they should protect our parents. I promised them that I'll be back soon.
I did not tell them that I will be heading to Amihan after going from the oracle. Baku said the other day that the spiritual pressure from there is getting stronger and it might be dangerous.
For us to reach the Mourning Valley, Baku told me that we should head south and cross Lignon Hills. After that, we will reach the Liwayway river. We need to cross the river to go to the path connected to the Mourning Valley. It will take us two days to reach the Valley.
After walking for two hours, Baku told me that we should rest first. I agreed with him and looked for a place with shade.
I sat down and drank some water. I looked around and I was still amazed by nature. It's different from the situation in the other world I came from. Everything was young.
Baku excused himself and went behind the tree. He said that he will shift back into human form. After a few minutes, he went back and I noticed that he was carrying fruits. I shifted my head away from him thinking that he might be naked again just like last time.
I heard Baku laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" I asked.
"I'm sorry Master, don't worry. I have clothes now," he answered.
I looked at him and saw that he was wearing the same robe that I gave him last time. I was relieved.
"How did you carry that?" I asked.
After that night, he stayed in the petit dragon form.
"Spatial Magic," Baku said.
"Spatial magic? Eh!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, master," Baku said.
He closed his eyes and chanted an incantation. His hand started to glow and a small portal appeared.
"Wow!" I exclaimed.
"Teach me how to do that, Baku! Please!" I said moving near him.
"I'll teach you this, but first, you should learn the fundamentals of spiritual energy in this world," Baku said.
"Yes, please," I said.
"Okay, I will explain to you in detail while on our way there."
"Thank you, Baku! You're the best." I said and clapped my hands like a little kid.
Baku smiled.
After an hour, we decided to continue our journey.
While on our way, Baku started to explain to me the basics of spiritual energy. He started on the part when someone is born in the Orient seas, at that moment, they were blessed by spiritual energy. The attributes of each person are also determined at that time. Like in the movies and games I played, there are different types. But fire, water, wind, earth are the major ones and the others are derived from the combination of those elements. In some cases, some manifest light energy but those are rare cases.
Baku also told me that the attribute of each person may depend on the tribe that they came from. The origin of the deity they worship.
"So what my attribute Baku?" I asked.
"Light energy and the Ice element," he said.
Light? Ice?
"You are one of those people blessed with light, the same with the moon goddess," Baku said.
That explains the form of energy that I manifested during the bullying incident. Baku continued his lecture regarding the elements. I felt a sudden tingling sensation behind my back. It's like someone was following us.
I looked at Baku and his expression was the same as mine. I know that he sensed that too. He said that I should move closer to him. I followed what he said. We continued walking towards the forest while being alert. Someone might attack us anytime now.
"Master, listen to me. I'll teach you an easy incantation. This will boost your senses and physical strength," Baku said.
"Okay, please," I said.
He moved his mouth close to my ear and whispered the incantation.
"Moon that shines bright at night. Heed our call. Bathe us in your silver light to vanish the evil. Zero Boundary."
After chanting the spell, I felt that my body was lighter than before. I can feel the force flowing in my body. Baku and I decided to move faster towards the forest. The tension is getting heavier. We don't where the enemy will come from.
The silence was deafening. My heartbeat is getting faster.
Then all of a sudden, Baku shouted.
"Master, dodge!"
