--- 🌸 Episode 2: Strange Pull 🌸 The morning class had begun. The room was quiet, filled with the scratch of chalk on the board. Standing at the front was none other than Professor Arpita—Mimi’s strict mother. Professor (stern voice): “Students, many of you are not serious enough. This semester, I expect better results. Especially you, Mimi.” The whole class turned to look at her. Mimi lowered her head, acting innocent. Mimi: “Yes, ma’am.” Siya leaned toward her, whispering through a smirk. Siya: “Still acting like the perfect angel, huh? I wonder what happens when we’re outside.” Mimi fought back a laugh. Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed from the hallway. The door swung open, and the entire class went still. It was Rishi. Professor Arpita’s eyebrows rose in surprise, though her tone stayed strict. Professor: “Mr. Rishi, you finally decided to attend class?” Rishi (calmly): “Yes, ma’am.” He walked to the back of the class, sat down, and the room grew even quieter. But Mimi’s eyes kept drifting toward him, curiosity burning behind her mischievous smile. --- ☕ In the Canteen Later during break, Mimi and Siya were back at the canteen. Siya (serious): “You know, no one dares sit near Rishi. People are terrified of him.” Mimi (grinning): “Then I’ll sit with him.” Siya (panicking): “What?! Mimi, are you crazy?!” But it was too late. Rishi had just walked into the canteen. He chose a table in the corner, sitting alone. Students instinctively left a wide gap around him. Mimi picked up her cup of coffee, walked straight over, and plopped down across from him. Mimi (cheerful): “Why do you always sit alone? Do you actually enjoy scaring people?” Rishi’s eyes flickered with annoyance. Rishi: “Why are you at my table?” Mimi (winking): “Because no one else dares. I’m brave.” Rishi’s gaze hardened. Rishi: “There’s a thin line between bravery and foolishness.” Mimi chuckled. Mimi: “Then maybe I’m a little foolish. But I don’t buy your act. You act tough, but I know there’s something different inside you.” Rishi stayed silent, sipping his coffee. But for a fleeting second, something shifted in his eyes—a flicker of something softer. --- 🏠 Mimi’s Home That night at dinner, Mimi’s father was in high spirits. Father (laughing): “Today, I accidentally put sugar instead of salt in the curry. Your mom nearly fainted after tasting it!” Mother (scolding): “This is not funny. You take everything as a joke.” Mimi laughed, shaking her head. Mimi: “Dad, one day you’ll get so scared you’ll quit cooking altogether.” Her father pointed dramatically at her. Father: “Then you’ll have to save me from your mother’s wrath. I can’t survive alone!” The family laughed, though her mother still wore her serious expression. This balance of humor and strictness was what made their home unique. --- 🌙 Rishi’s Night Across the city, Rishi sat alone in his room. His jaw was tense, but his mind was restless. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t erase the image of Mimi’s fearless smile. He muttered to himself, Rishi: “Why didn’t she fear me? Everyone else avoids me… but she sat right across.” The walls he’d built around himself, strong and cold, had begun to c***k. --- 🎭 Final Scene of Episode 2 The next morning in the college corridor, students were bustling about. Suddenly, Mimi tripped—her notebooks scattered across the floor. Everyone expected Rishi, standing nearby, to ignore her. That’s what he always did. But to their shock, he bent down, picked up the papers, and held them out to her. Mimi grinned up at him. Mimi: “Oh, so the mafia prince does know how to help!” Rishi frowned. Rishi: “You talk too much.” Mimi (teasing): “And you don’t talk enough. That’s why I do the talking for you.” Their eyes met, and the corridor went silent. Students stared—it felt like history was being made. For the first time, a tiny smirk touched Rishi’s lips. Almost no one noticed. But Mimi did. And that was enough. – Episode 2 Ends –
