With the financial settlement Michaelene obtained from her first husband Todd Austin and his family, Michaelene was able to send her second husband Patrick Accuardi to law school at a public university—Jefferson State in the city of Slateville.
“Our jobs at the office are a dead end,” Michaelene said to Patrick. “I know you want to write, but this will be a better day job for you. Think of John Grisham or any other number of other writers who have studied law.”
