*** Michaelene was sunbathing on the dock when she heard a vehicle drive by the A-frame. Turning over in her skimpy white bikini, she listened for it to drive away. She thought perhaps she heard it leave, but sounds were tricky down by the water, particularly when there was a breeze coming off the lake, as there was right now. She was done with both sides of her body—just enough to get a glow. Michaelene got up, and, grabbing her towel, headed for the cabin along a short wooded path. At the crest of a slight rise a car was in her driveway behind her Volvo. When she saw a Jefferson County library parking sticker on the front bumper, Michaelene smiled to herself.
