Another Meeting with Marcy Jenkins
Miss Carson calls, seeming to take great glee in proclaiming that I will be seeing Executive Vice President Marcy Jenkins promptly at 11:00 a.m.
“And do not be late,” she sternly forewarns.
I dare not be. But the appointment is not on my calendar and on short notice... in just over an hour... so I must busily make calls to rearrange my schedule. Presumptuous to think I am idly sitting in my office waiting to be summoned. But then, thinking of the file folder filled with pics... not to mention control over my career here at JWW Enterprises... it seems the woman can be presumptuous.
I arrive timely on the executive floor, entering the office suite of Marcy Jenkins at 11:00. A smirking Miss Carson greets me, mirthfully holding up a thin seat cushion.
