The thoughts reel chronologically.
Two uneventful years employed at JWW Enterprises, earning handsomely, a modest promotion to a regional sales position. Yet when I consider Miss Carson’s description of the culture, intentionally cultivated over the years, it comes to mind that I have no real authority. The employees on the organization chart who ostensibly work under me regularly report directly to Ms. Jenkins. I have been chagrined in the past to learn second hand about client and potential client information from above which should have come to me first. End runs... regularly.
Despite the money, in hindsight it seems my title is a sinecure. Does anyone bend to my instruction? How many times have I issued a decree only to have an underling respond with ‘I’ll check with Marcy
