Xenosa's POV:
After our very emotional family meeting, I decided to head out and meet up with Cresia. She has to be around here somewhere. I excused myself from the room we were in and went out the door. How was I supposed to find Cresia here? This place was huge. Not to mention, the hallways look the same except for the few vases and paintings displayed on some of the walls. Nevertheless, I found it to be very hard to navigate. A few minutes of just walking the same direction, and after running into some of the creatures here I decided to get some fresh air. I asked a worker where I could find the exit and she said that I should just head straight and go down the first set of stairs I would see. Well, I assumed she was a worker since she was wearing the castle's maid uniform. I then followed the directions she gave me, trying my best to remember the place I was at and not actually get lost 'cause trust me, I'm quite awful at directions. I have a very bad memory. As a result, I have trouble remembering new places and even the new facts I read or heard. Weird, huh? You'd think a demigod who's also the child of the oracle could handle the challenge of remembering directions, but instead, that's my greatest flaw as a human being. Well, half human. You guys know what I mean. I continued my way out when suddenly I felt the breeze of fresh air enter my nostrils. I was near the exit already. I looked around and saw that some of the windows were open, there was the door! Ah, finally I can get some peace. I hope this wasn't the same way we entered the palace. That pathway is just not giving off the right kind of vibes for relaxation. The aura from that place was heavy and a bit stressful, it wouldn't be a good place to relax in. Plus, I still find the statues there to be weird as hell. They should really consider redecorating. I'm sure they didn't lack the funds to do that. It's pretty obvious that this place is overflowing with wealth. Anyway, I doubt the gods would like that. I'm not expecting that they'll be as chill as my dad. I find a lot of them scary and intimidating, and not in a good kind of way. It's the "when I look at you one time and you should pee your pants right away kind of way". I don't know if I'm making any sense, but that would conclude the general thought I have on that matter. I continued to walk and the nearer I got the more sure I became that this was another garden. Perhaps, the one in its backyard. I mean if we enter from the front by the huge gate, then there's probably a back side to it as well, right? I doubt the sides of the castle are as big as this one. I can already tell that, by the looks of it, they don't need to build parking areas of the gods, because their gods and, uh, I don't think they usually use cars to travel from one place to another. Maybe they take portals or do some kind of magic, that kind of stuff. I was finally out of the castle and, to my surprise, I saw Cresia right away. "Cresia! Hey!" I yelled as I approached where she was at. She was sitting under the tree probably enjoying the now non-existent peace she had since I had called her very loudly. The second she heard my voice, she then turned her head to look where I was. Once she saw me, she waved back and smiled. I sat down beside her and immediately said sorry for disappearing after the hearing. "It's fine Ches, or should I call you Xen now?" She even laughed and winked at me. "Ha ha very funny Lacresia. But yeah, I think it would be appropriate to start introducing myself to people as Xenosa now, right? What do you think Cres?" She nodded at me and said, "Yeah. It would help you remember too. Don't you think?" "Yeah, I guess so. That's pretty smart of you Lacresia," I said, to her, emphasizing her full name, which caused us to both laugh at each other. Once the laughter died down, I then asked her about where she'd been after the hearing. "I met with my parents. They were pretty nice and cool. My mom seemed a bit more strict compared to my dad though. Her name is Maria. And my dad is Agtabayun. He's domain is the air, so I think that would explain the wings, right?" "Yeah, the wings would perfectly make sense. Who would have thought right? Did your dad marry your mom, by the way? Mine did. He even gave her the gift of immortality. They are two sick-loving individuals to be honest. Are your parents the same?" I asked. She shook her head no,"Uh no I don't think they're the sweet type of couple. They're pretty refined and act all classy. The only time they broke poise was when they hugged me. Which was awesome! They even said sorry about the whole thing of forgetting their kids' situation and stuff. Turns out dad's memory came back sooner than the others guess he has some perks being one of the eldest gods out there. And yeah, they married. He says she won't be reincarnated anymore, so he pitched in the gift of immortality as well." That actually caught my attention. "What do you mean not anymore?" I asked her, intrigued by their whole situation. She cleared her throat and innocently explained that her dad had only taken most of his mortal wives from their bloodline, but whenever they conceive or try to conceive, a very unhappy incident occurs. It's either the baby dies at birth or the reincarnated version of her mom dies. I don't know why but that sounds very very frightening to me. "So uh if that's the case, you are the only living child of the god Agtabayun to ever survive, huh?" She then nodded sadly. It must've been hard for her. I mean she's the only surviving daughter her father has and then she was even destined to go on a quest. Speaking of the quest, "Did you get any information about it? My parents didn't want to talk about that in our 'meeting'. They said it would dampen the whole mood," I said to Cresia. "No, I actually didn't hear about it either. In all honesty, I forgot to ask about that. I don't know why," Cresia said. "Yeah, it's fine. I mean we had bigger issues to settle with them anyway." I replied. We were about to talk about something else when the girl from the hearing also came outside. I decided to call her, "Uh Hey is it Jasmine?" I asked. Unsure about her name. I didn't get her name back at the hearing. I was too preoccupied with my thoughts. She approached us and said, "Uh no it's actually Jassencia Romualdes, daughter of Ampual.""So uhm Jas, wait is it to call you that?" I asked. She noodled her head. "Okay cool. Wanna sit with us? I'm Ches- I mean I'm Xenosa. While this is Cresia", I said, while pointing at us while also indicating our names. After the whole introduction, we decided to talk about ourselves more. We had just finished talking about the maze, it was now Jaz's turn. "My journey here is actually boring compared to yours. My auntie, who raised me, just gave me a key and then used a magic carriage to bring me here. I have no battle experience by far," she explained. "Speaking of battles, do you guys have any idea about the training we're supposed to get? I hear we get different teachers. It's to make sure we're trained by the proper and capable individuals that are also suitable for the gifts we have," she said. "Really? I expected some kind of indoor class or something. It turns out we have got personal trainers. How convenient is that, right?" Cresia started to say. She then grabbed a biscuit from her pocket and opened it, " How long do you think we'll have to train?" she continued to ask. She then made the you can get a biscuit if you'd like to face but neither I nor Jazz were hungry enough for that. I was about to say something when a voice cut me off, "give or take three weeks," he said, while appearing from the tree above. To say that we were startled would be an understatement. "Gosh you scared us. Have you been there the whole time?" Lacresia asked. It would be bad to let him hear all the stuff Cresia and I talked about. I mean bad, not bad as in evil, but bad in an embarrassing kind of way. He then smiled, amused at the shocked expressions on our faces. "I'm Hayacinthus Varde, the son of Linok. And no, I haven't been here the entire time. I just got here actually. I saw you three were talking so I decided to join the circle," he explained. Well, he sure was good looking. With dark brown hair, brown eyes, dimples and a moreno. A walking heartache for some. If I'm not mistaken, his abilities would allow him to generate earthquakes. He then welcomed himself like he said and sat down beside us. "So uh why do you think we'll only have three weeks to train?" Lacresia asked. "Well, actually that three weeks is a far stretch already. Well, I heard that we're on a deadline. Rumors go that you were supposed to get here weeks ago to start training as soon as possible, but I guess you guys had trouble on the way here. I wouldn't blame it on you though. Demigods are just one hell of a beacon for disaster," he says. Well, isn't he talkative, just the kind of person we'll need, since Cresia and I are both quiet people and I doubt Jazz is the talkative type as well. "Tell me about it" I said under my breath. "It's like the creatures of the dark, can smell as from a mile away," I said a bit louder this time. He then nodded at me agreeing at my decisions. "So uh we're-" I was about to introduce ourselves to him but he immediately raised his hand, causing me to stop mid sentence. "No need for introductions. I know you guys already. I remember your name from the hearing. The girl on my left is Jassencia the plant girl, while the one on my left is Lacresia, The one with wings," he says while looking at both of them. I'm impressed that he remembered not only their names but the details as well. Really impressive. He then looked at me as we were facing each other now, "While this girl in front of me is the girl with the white streaks on her hair, Xenosa. The girl of the prophecy. How is it, by the way? I bet it's been difficult, huh? I mean, I myself have trouble sleeping at night trying to figure out why I'm a part of all this but you, on the other hand, you are the entire prophecy, not just a part of it," he said continuously. Maybe Cresia noticed the shift in my mood, so she immediately changed the topic. "Anybody wants to get some dinner? I'm starving. The biscuit didn't do it for my stomach and I hear the chef's prepared a special dinner for tonight. C'mon guys, let's go." she said. We immediately stood up and proceeded to walk to the dining room. Wherever that may be. I then noticed how Cresia was looking at me. She's giving me that concerned look of hers again. I gave her a smile in return. "You good Xen? I'm pretty sure he didn't mean that in a negative way," she says while walking beside me. "It's cool Cres. Don't worry about it," I said. Yep, everything's fine.
