Chapter Sixty: Crisa

829 Words
After we finished ordering everything that we needed to order Stormy and I went to watch a movie. I must have been more tired than I thought because the next thing I know Storm is kneeling in front of me waking me up. When he saw that I was awake he quickly got up and held his hand out to help me up. Once I was on my feet he said, “let’s get you some dinner and get you back to bed. I made steak and potatoes for dinner. Stormy is already at the table waiting for us and everyone else is already gone.” I was glad to hear that everyone was already gone because I didn’t have the energy to deal with them. I contemplated just going to bed without having dinner until my stomach growled. Storm chuckled and wrapped his arm around me walking to the dining room. Stormy talked throughout dinner about how she was planning on decorating her studio and how she was looking forward to starting school. She was hoping to be able to actually make friends and not be an outcast anymore. I just listened to her speak so full of enthusiasm while I scarfed my food down like I hadn’t ate today.       When we were all finished Stormy jumped up to clear the table and do the dishes. I grabbed her hand to stop her and said, “you don’t have to clear the table and do the dishes unless you want to. After you are settled in here and at school we can talk about chores, but for now you don’t have to worry about anything.” She looked at me with a big smile on her face before saying, “I know and thank you. I want to do this as my way of showing you appreciation for today.” I gave her a hug before turning to go to my room so I could change and get in bed. I don’t know why I feel so tired, but I’m hoping that if I stay in tomorrow and just relax I’ll start to feel more energized. ***Time Jump***      It’s been three weeks since Stormy moved into my house and Storm has been here every day. At this point he may as well move his stuff in as well since he practically lives here already. When Stormy started school he went back to work while I stayed home since nobody would allow me to work while I still had stitches. I didn’t fight them on it very much because I was still always so tired. Stormy was loving school and had made quite a few friends. She was starting to feel more comfortable being herself and was quite the artist. Today I was going to go and get the stitches out. I had mixed feelings about it because I didn’t want to go back to Tara’s clinic, but I also didn’t want to go somewhere else and have to answer questions about how I got the wound.      When it was time for me to head out I grabbed the keys to my Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX and a helmet. I was going to catch hell for riding, but I didn’t even care I needed to feel the breeze rushing past me. As soon as I made it to the clinic I was pulled in the back and put into a room to wait. Within a couple of minutes Tara came in with her supplies and once again looked me over as if looking for new wounds. Thankfully it only took twenty minutes for her to finish removing the stitches and covering it with a clean bandage. I immediately jumped off the bed and headed for the door not even caring that I was only in my bra, but before I could make my escape she grabbed my arm to stop me and started trying to warn me about Storm again.     I was furious that she kept looking me over like he hurt me and kept trying to warn me away. I was so glad that I came by myself because that meant that I didn’t have to hold back as I spun around and said, “shut the f**k up. He’s not the one who hurt me and he would never intentionally hurt me. You keep warning me about him, but he should be more worried about me. He just watched me slice more than one man’s throat and smile while watching them choke on their own blood. In the animal kingdom he would be a house cat compared to my lioness energy. Now you know that he knows your husband and your husband is the only reason that you aren’t laying on the floor right now. So in the future keep your mouth shut because this is your only warning.” With that said I walked out the door to head over to Storm’s shop so we could lunch.
