I couldn’t believe that I had a daughter and Paige never let me know that there was a possibility of me being a father. I didn’t get to watch her grow up, go to any school functions, or know what she looked like. Heck I didn’t even know her name. The more I thought about it the more furious I became. I ended up tearing my office apart before I eventually calmed down. When I was calm enough I walked outside to finish talking to Paige, but I found that her and Crisa were gone. I started to panic and took out my phone trying to call Crisa. I didn’t know how long she had been gone or if she was okay and I didn’t have a vehicle so that I could go looking for her.
To my relief she answered the phone and I started rattling off questions in a worried tone. I knew that I was talking to fast for her to answer a question before another one was being thrown at her. When I stopped to take a breath she took the opportunity to say, “I’m okay. I have some stuff to take care of so I’ll see you at my house in an hour or two. Thane will be there to pick you up and take you to my lawyer then my house. I’ll answer your questions when I get there, but I have to go now.” She hung up on me before I could start asking her questions and I didn’t like the idea of her being out there alone doing only she knew what with her injury healing.
I waited for about forty five minutes before Thane pulled in the parking lot to pick me up. The look on his face told me that he knew about as much as I knew and we rode in silence to the lawyers office where he had me sign some paperwork. The fact that I signed without going over the paperwork was crazy, but I trusted Crisa and the lawyer reminded me that she would explain everything to me when she got home that night. He rushed me out saying he had to hurry and get the paperwork filed before the court closed for the day. When I was done there Thane drove me to my place so I could get more clothes and take bike to Crisa’s house. He left and said he would head there so he could let me in when I got there.
When I finally got there I noticed that she still wasn’t home and I was starting to get anxious not knowing what she was doing or if she was okay. Had she tired herself out? Was she walking okay? Did she have someone with her? Did Paige try to hurt her? Thane let me in and told me that he hadn’t heard anything from her. He also informed me that he ordered food for us and he would wait with me because she owed him an explanation as well. We had decided to play a game while we waited and about twenty minutes in the front door opened. We could hear Crisa speaking with someone and she walked in with the food. She walked in the kitchen to set the food down before coming in and saying, “hey Thane can you do me a favor and get the bags out of the car and put them in the guest room. I will explain everything to you in the morning I need to speak with Storm privately.” Thane got up and gave her a quick hug before going to do as she asked. He grabbed some food from the kitchen and left without a word. Crisa was standing by the door quietly looking at me before she turned around and motioned a girl forward. She turned to see me staring at the girl and she said, “Storm this is your daughter Stormy. Stormy this is your father Storm. Storm she is going to be living here from now on.”
