Chapter Sixty-One: Crisa

1267 Words
Storm was waiting outside when I pulled up and the look on his face told me that he may have been impressed by the motorcycle, but I was definitely in trouble for riding it. One thing that he has to learn is I’m going to do what I want as long as it doesn’t disrespect him or our relationship. Me riding my motorcycle is not disrespecting him. Everyone has been treating me like I’m made of glass these last three weeks and it’s driving me crazy. Even Thane and the guys have been treating me differently with this injury compared to the others. I got off the motorcycle after I took my helmet off and walked over to Storm grabbing his hand to drag him back to his office before he could even open his mouth to say anything to me. Once we were in his office and facing each other with the door closed he pinned me to the wall. He stared at me for a few seconds as if trying to decide whether to yell at me or kiss me. Before I could even blink his lips were in mine in a passionate kiss that neither of us wanted to break until we had to come up for air. He rested his forehead against mine while we tried catching our breath and said, “you pulling up on that bike was the sexiest thing I have ever seen. I just worry about you while you are healing. Let’s face it I’m overprotective and will probably be the same even when you are completely healthy. I know that it comes off controlling and I will work on it.” I cupped his face and kissed his cheek before saying, “I know that this is new for you. Having someone other than my brother and his friends care about my well-being is new to me. How about we work through it together? If we have an issue with something we talk it out.” He nodded his head and gave me a quick kiss before claiming to be hungry and dragging me outside before stopping trying to figure out what vehicle to take. I started to pull him towards mine, but stopped in my tracks when I saw someone that I didn’t know checking it out. I pointed it out to Storm and stepped back so he could handle it. If I want this to work I have to give a little and let him take care of problems when he is around. I could tell by the expression on Storm’s face that he knew the guy and this wasn’t going to be a pleasant encounter. The guy looked up when he sensed our approach and said, “ this isn’t even on the market yet. How did you get it? How much do you want for it?” He kept his eyes trained on Storm and didn’t even acknowledge my presence which irritated me as he was talking about my motorcycle. I did my best to hold my tongue and temper while letting Storm handle the situation. Storm was quick to say, “I can’t sell something that doesn’t belong to me. You need to realize that you can’t always buy whatever you want because not everything is for sale no matter how much money you throw at it. Now what are you doing here? I told you to never come back here.” ****This episode has been edited to include a missing chapter.**** Chapter Sixty-Two: Storm I couldn’t believe that Dan was back and casually walking around Crisa’s motorcycle like he was supposed to be here. First Paige showed up telling me that I’m a father and now Dan. Dan looked up when he sensed our approach and said, “ this isn’t even on the market yet. How did you get it? How much do you want for it?” He kept his eyes trained on me and didn’t even acknowledge Crisa’s presence which probably irritated her because he was talking about her motorcycle. I could tell that she was trying to hold her tongue and temper while letting me handle the situation which I appreciated. I was quick to respond to him by saying, “I can’t sell something that doesn’t belong to me. You need to realize that you can’t always buy whatever you want because not everything is for sale no matter how much money you throw at it. Now what are you doing here? I told you to never come back here.” He just chuckled saying, “everything is for sale when the right amount of money is offered. Now who’s the owner so I can purchase it. I can deal with you later.” Crisa’s hand latched on to mine and I could feel her squeezing my hand trying to hold onto her anger. Dan noticed her step up next to me and grab my hand. His facial expression changed to one of disdain as he looked at Crisa from top to bottom. He was looking at her like the gum on the bottom of his shoe was worth more than her. That’s when the thin thread that was holding her anger snapped and she said, “unfortunately for you there isn’t a price you could pay for that motorcycle. Even if I set a number you wouldn’t be able to afford it. So whatever act you have going on right now you can drop it. If you really had money and connections you would be able to get one. Now let me guess you’re here because Paige left you and took Stormy along with whatever money you had left. So now you are looking for her here thinking Storm would be wrapped around her finger and protecting her. Well she’s not here and she better never come around again or she knows what will happen. Stormy on the other hand is never going near you or Paige ever again. She is staying with us and she is happy to be here. Now you can turn around and go back to where you came from.” I was proud of her for sticking up for herself, but kind of in shock that she knew that much information without him saying why he came. His face turned red in anger and called her a b***h turning to knock the motorcycle over, but before he could she said, “ you can knock that motorcycle over if you want I have two more at home and it’s in front of a shop fixing it isn’t a problem. Now the problem will be that you are so broke that you won’t be able to pay for the damages and that is an issue. You see Zanthus really hates when people run off and don’t follow orders, but you know what he hates more than that? I would give you a guess, but your mind hasn’t registered your fatal mistake yet. What he absolutely hates more than anything else is when people mess with or threaten his niece. Although I’m pretty sure Storm would get to you first. I know Zanthus wouldn’t be far behind. So do you still want to knock it over?” Okay so that tells me how she knows what she knows. Dan turned back to her and looked at her face studying it very closely before his eyes went wide in fear. I knew he wasn’t scared of me because he wouldn’t be standing here if he was, but I could definitely see that he was scared of Zanthus.
