Chapter Seventy-Eight: Crisa

When I woke up I was on the couch alone and it was after noon. I jumped up remembering the get together that is supposed to happen in a few hours. I ran to the bathroom and got ready before heading to the kitchen to find the note Storm left for me. It made me smile when I read the note. He was really serious about getting me any craving that I may have. I gave him a quick call to let him know that I was just getting up and I was going to order food and drinks for the get together. I told him to invite the whole club and their families since my property had enough space. He told me that it would be about a hundred people and that he would make sure the rowdy ones wouldn’t show up. I told him that I was fine with that and would have Stormy and the guys help me pick out the food then we would head to the store to get the drinks.
I made a quick lunch and went to look for Stormy and the guys. I found Stormy in her studio and the guys were in the gym. Once we sat down to eat we started discussing what food to get for the get together. After a bit of back and forth we decided on twenty-five pizzas, one hundred wings, five large salads, and fifty burgers. We would get chips and other sides from the store when we went to get the drinks. After lunch I called the diner and the pizzeria to place the food orders. They were stressed about such large orders on such short notice, but once I promised them a large sum of money they were happy. With that we all made our way to the nearest Sam’s club. Since I knew we would be getting a lot of stuff we took my semi and trailer. We would more than likely buy pallets of drinks and other snacks so it made sense.
As I drove to the store Chris called ahead to make sure they had an employee that would be able to help us with marking what we were purchasing and then another that would be able to use a forklift to load the truck. I knew I was going overboard with what I was planning on buying, but whatever was leftover would go to the homeless community. I parked the truck off to the side and we made our way into the store. We were lucky to run into a member of the club and his family on the way into the store. They were there to get some stuff for the party as well so I invited them to join us. As soon as we walked in the door we made our way over to the service desk to meet the employee that was going to be helping us. The first thing I asked them to do was pack up all of the cupcakes and a German Chocolate cake. They looked at me skeptical about whether I would be able to pay for everything which irritated me, but I had to keep my cool.
I let them run my card for all of the cupcakes and once it was approved they were a little more eager to help. We made our way through the store picking out snacks, drinks, disposable plates, plastic utensils, plastic cups, paper towels, and trash bags. We even picked up a few entertainment items. We decided to set up a karaoke area in the garage that houses my truck and then we would setup an outdoor movie area. Crisa was getting on great with the club members daughter which made me happy. We wrapped it up when I noticed that we were running out of time and we still had to set everything up. The pallets had already been pulled outside so we just had to ring up what was in the carts, pay and load everything in the truck. Stormy’s friend suddenly asked how we were going to get everything to my house and Stormy’s response made me tear up. She proudly said, “we are going to use my moms truck. It’s really cool and it’s huge. Do you want to ride with us?”
She looked to me and her parents for permission. I nodded that it was okay with me and they gave their okay. When we walked around the corner and could see the truck their jaws dropped. I had the girls load the cupcakes in the cab while Chris and Tyler worked with the store’s employees to load the trailer. It took about thirty minutes to load everything and we quickly made our way back to the house. We were pretty lucky to pull up to the house at the same time as Thane, Tristan, Storm, and Thalia. When they saw the truck pull in they shook their heads. Thane hitched a ride on the side of the truck as I pulled it over to it’s garage. Once I parked he grabbed the forklift I had while Chris opened the truck doors and Tyler propped the garage doors open. Tristan and Thalia helped the girls unload the cupcakes while the rest helped Thane. Storm came over to my side and helped me out of the truck before giving me a kiss. Some more guys from the garage showed up to help setup so Storm ushered me inside and forced me to relax. He made me agree to stay off my feet for at least thirty minutes which was going to be hard since the get together was supposed to start in forty-five minutes.
