When we got to the lawyers office she still had not given me a number so I looked at her and said, “all you want is money and you think holding that child against Storm is going to get you that money, but it’s not. You can give me a number, sign the custody papers, take me to her so she can come with me, get paid, and live your life without having to worry about anyone other than yourself. You don’t give me a number my lawyer files custody papers and Storm still gets custody, but you don’t get any money.” She looked at me for a few seconds before she acknowledged what I said to her as a potential reality. We got out of the car and as we reached the office door she stopped and said, “three million and I disappear forever.”
I looked at her and nodded my head agreeing to the amount. As we walked in I text Thane and told him to get four million in cash out of my safe. He tried asking questions that I had no time to answer so I told him to get the cash and meet me at the club in an hour. While I was doing that my lawyer was going over the paperwork with Paige and she was signing where she needed to sign. Storm still hadn’t text me to find out where I was, but I knew he was probably still in shock. I would have to bring him by later for him to sign the paperwork as well, but I needed Paige to sign and take me to the child first. After twenty minutes of signing paperwork we got back in the car and she took me to a shady hotel on the outskirts of town. I can’t believe she would just leave her child here alone, but once I saw her I understood and my heart broke for her.
She was wearing raggedy clothes and shoes. Her hair looked like it hadn’t been taken care of in months other than a quick wash. Once she had her belongings we all got back in the car and headed to the club. I still didn’t know her name so I looked in the rear view mirror and said, “my name is Crisa and you are going to come stay with me. What’s your name?” She looked nervously at her mother like she was scared to speak in front of her mother before she mumbled Stormy quietly. I looked at her mother who looked pissed that she spoke, but I was livid she named this child after Storm yet claimed that she didn’t know he was the father. When we got to the club we went straight to the office where Thane was waiting with the bag of money. I asked Thane to take Stormy to go get something to drink while I spoke to Paige.
As soon as they were out of the office I turned to Paige and said, “you are lucky Stormy is here because I should make you disappear. You lied to Storm about not knowing he was the father. You knew the whole time right, but you were chasing money. You will take this money and you will leave town today. You will never return again, never ask for more money, and most importantly you will never contact or go near Stormy again.” She went to say something, but I threw the bag at her and told her to get out. I already had someone outside ready to take her back to the hotel. As she was walking out my phone started ringing and when I looked at it I saw that it was Storm.
