Chapter Forty-Four: Storm

618 Words
Waking up to Crisa in my arms is a feeling I could get used to and I never want to let her go. Watching the way she interacted with her brother and his friends was hilarious. I never had that connection with anyone. I have Tristan and the guys, but it’s a different kind of connection with them. We can’t just sit around like this watching some silly movie and picking at each other. My mom put me out when she had my little brother so I lived with my grandmother until she passed away and then I lived on the streets.        I never got to develop a relationship with my brother and I don’t even know if I have other siblings out there. I never really tried to look into it because my mother obviously didn’t want me around and I’m not someone to go where I’m not wanted. Pretty soon the movie was over and the guys were rushing out to get to work leaving behind their mess. Did they not think about the fact that Crisa shouldn’t be cleaning this up right now and I’m not a maid. When I saw Crisa start to get up so she could clean up I jumped up and started clearing off the table.      I could see her relax back into the couch after I started cleaning and I was glad that she was going to rest. It tool me about thirty minutes to clean up everything, make sure everything was wiped down, and the dishwasher was running. When I got back into the living room I could seen that Crisa had fallen back asleep. I gently picked her up and carried her back to her room before laying her on the bed. I crawled in on the other side and watched her sleep. Just as I was about to fall asleep she turned into me and threw her arm over me curling up into my side. I looked down at her and went to sleep with a smile on my face.     I was woken up around noon when my phone started ringing. I quietly got up and walked out of the room to answer it. When I looked at the screen I could see that it was Tristan calling me and he only calls for emergencies. When I answered the phone he told me that one of my one night stands was back and she was demanding to see me claiming it was important. I told Tristan I was busy today and to get rid of her or if it’s so important setup a meeting for tomorrow. Before he hung up he said that he would sort it out and get back to me.    As if right in queue my stomach started to growl so I made my way to the kitchen to see what I could make for lunch. Of course the fridge needs to be stocked, but that could wait until Crisa woke up for now I would just order in. Since I didn’t know what she would want I ordered her the same thing as last night, some pizza, some wings, some ribs, and some fries. I put it in as a rush order so it should be here soon. I went to the bathroom and did my business before going to the porch to wait on the food. Luckily it was delivered within 20 minutes of being order so I took it into the living room and set everything up before going back into Crisa’s room to wake her up. She may not like it, but I know that she has to be hungry and we are going to have to change her bandage.
