Once Crisa was ready to go to the shop we hopped in her Chevy Traverse and made our way there. As soon as we got out of the SUV we could hear yelling and the crashing noise of things being thrown. I looked over at Crisa wondering if I should have left her at home, but she just gave me a reassuring smile before grabbing my hand. We made our way inside and as soon as I saw the chick causing a scene I wished that I had stayed away. I had only ever dated one other female before Crisa and she was standing in front of me tearing the shop apart. I haven’t seen her since she cheated on me, stole money from me, and took off with some guy fifteen years ago.
Before I could say anything Crisa yelled, “chill the f**k out.” Her voice screamed dominance and demanded that people obeyed it. There was pin drop silence after Crisa screamed and everyone turned to face us. I didn’t know how to react to the person standing in front of me. I wanted to be mad and let my anger control my actions, but I knew that I needed to react calmly with Crisa here. Crisa took charge once again when she said, “alright now let’s head into the office so the guys can clean up and get back to work. Before you tell me no I am not asking you I am telling you. You can do so willingly or unwillingly the choice is up to you I’m fine with either option.”
Crisa just kept amazing me at every turn and I love the way she takes charge. When we were all in the office I finally spoke up and said, “what are you doing here Paige? After the way you left fifteen years ago what do you think gives you the right to come here demanding to see me and tearing up the shop? What’s going to stop me from making you disappear?” I couldn’t tell what Crisa was thinking as she kept her face emotionless as she looked at Paige. When I looked over at Paige I could see that she was struggling to keep her calm because of the threat in my words.
It took a minute for Paige to speak and my world turned upside down when she said, “I’m sorry, but I needed to see you and it couldn’t wait. When I left fifteen years ago I was pregnant. I didn’t think she was yours when I left, but recently after a blood test I found out she wasn’t Dan’s so she can only be yours.” I was in shock and didn’t even know what to say. I have a child that I didn’t know about and to make it worse she is a teenager. To her credit Crisa sat next to me and let me soak in the information that I had just been given.
When Paige went to speak again Crisa held her hand up to stop her and said, “he needs a minute to take this in. What brings you here after fifteen years? You could have told Tristan who you were and why it was important for you to speak to Storm. Instead you chose to throw a tantrum like you are a two year old. That and the way you keep fidgeting tells me that you want something. So we are going to step outside and you will tell me what you want. Choose your words very carefully.” They walked out the door leaving me standing there to take in the information.
