Chapter Forty-Five: Crisa

    I woke up to find that I was the only one in the room so I got up to use the bathroom before going to find out where Storm went. When I was brushing my teeth I could hear the bedroom door open and shortly after the bathroom door opened. Storm was standing in the doorway and let out a sigh of relief. Not seeing me in bed must have worried him, but I don’t know where he thought I would go. I finished brushing my teeth before walking over to him and putting my hand on his chest telling him that I was okay. He grabbed my hand and walked us both over to the bed before sitting on it making me sit in his lap. We sat there quietly until my stomach decided to growl.

     He stood up chuckling with me in his arms. His strength combined with the way he picks me up without effort still amazes me and I don’t know that I will ever get used to it. He brought me out of my thoughts when he said, “I ordered some food and set it up in the living room. I figured that we could watch another movie. I also checked you fridge so we can submit an online grocery order and have it delivered. I didn’t know what you needed so I wanted to wait for you.” I just looked at him and nodded my head because I didn’t even know who this man was anymore. He portrayed this big bad biker that didn’t care about anything when I first met him, but here he is being sweet and catering to all of my needs.

     When he made it to the living room I saw that he laid out all different kinds of food and drinks. He even set the couch back up so we could comfortably watch movies. When I looked up at him he said, “I didn’t know what you would want to eat so I ordered a few different ones. I wanted to make sure you were comfortable while we watched a movie so I set up the couch as well. I could change it back if you want or order something else. Whatever……” I cut him off by grabbing his head and pulling it down so I could kiss him. He was shocked for a moment before he started kissing me back eagerly. I don’t know what came over me or why I did that, but I also knew that I wasn’t sorry about it either.

     We stopped when we heard something hitting the floor behind us. He turned around with me still in his arms to find a shocked Thalia standing in the doorway with food and medical supplies at her feet. Before any of us could say anything Thane, Tyler, and Chris walked in. I buried my head in Storm’s chest not because I was embarrassed, but because I was irritated by the interruption. Storm set me on the couch and about that time the boys saw the food spread out on the table and started to run to it.

     Before they could touch anything I said, “Touch any of that food and lose a limb or your life! Depends on what you touch. You may have brought breakfast with you when you came by earlier, but you also left a huge mess that Storm cleaned up. When you start functioning Thalia can you change my bandage so I can eat and watch a movie.” She snapped out of her shock and picked up the medical supplies before coming to sit next to me so she could change the bandage.
