Chapter Twenty-Nine: Storm

682 Words
Crisa and I were surrounded and I was trying to take on most of them, but I couldn’t do it alone. I managed to kill one by pure luck early in the fight which I was thankful for, but there was still too many and I can hear Crisa struggling behind me. I wanted to turn around and help her, but I was still struggling with the three in front of me. I finally caught one of the guys with an angled palm to the nose driving his nasal bone into his brain killing him. I turned my head to see that Tyler had made his way over to us which I was thankful for the help hoping we would be able to keep Crisa protected.        The three of us backed up to each other and faced the four remaining guys. As the fight commenced Tyler and I managed to get Crisa in between us, but they were still able to land hits on her. Before I knew it Chris and Thane had two of the guys in headlocks. Tyler and I quickly got a hold of the other two and finished them all off in a matter of a couple of minutes. We all turned to where we last saw Crisa, but she was no longer there and we had no clue where she went. We did notice that Jonathan was missing as well. I started running the way we came in and Thane took off in the opposite direction while we left Chris and Tyler to check for casualties. I could hear Thane calling out her name so I remained quiet in case she responded.         I was about to give up when I rounded a corner to see Crisa straddling Jonathan as he was on the verge of being unconscious. As I got closer I noticed that Crisa was looking for something and when she asked me if I had a knife I realized what she was looking for. Unfortunately all I had left were the guns we brought in. She got up and came over to take a gun from me before she walked back over to him. I was not expecting her to shoot Jonathan in one of his knees. When he screamed opening his eyes wide she shot him in the other knee. Then she aimed the gun at his head and said, “I told you that I wouldn’t be the one dying today. You can burn in hell with your entire family. Goodbye asshole!” She pulled the trigger without even blinking and stared into his lifeless eyes after the bullet hit it’s mark.   I wrapped my arms around her as if I needed to reassure himself that she was still here. She broke away from me and started walking back to the front to find out what the damage was. Luckily we ran into Tristan and he let us know that there were some injuries on our side, but we didn’t have any casualties. I breathed a sigh of relief and she was suddenly in  Thane’s  bone crushing hug. Chris and Tyler managed to join in and make it a group hug with her being sandwiched between the three of them. She suddenly looked at Thane and before passing out she managed to say, “I love you.” Chris rushed off to get a car while Tyler and Thane held her up. I walked over to them and picked her up carrying her to the car while telling Tristan to call the doctor. Thane had his freak out moment with Tyler following behind us. As we climbed into the bed of the truck with her Tristan came out and told us the doctor would be there and ready for us. I told him to drive since Chris didn’t know where to go so we all sat in the and held on tightly while Tristan raced to through the streets. I held her tightly praying that she was going to be okay because now that I’ve met her I can’t imagine life without her.
