Chapter Sixty-Three: Crisa

701 Words
The closer we got and the more I studied the guys face I realized who he was. I know for sure that he wasn’t supposed to be here because I knew that he worked for my uncle and if he was sending someone here he would have told me about it. I knew that I had guessed right about his connection to Storm and reason for being here when His face turned red in anger. I intentionally held back how I knew why he was there or even knew who he was until I could see how he was going to react. He called me a b***h and turned to knock the motorcycle over, but before he could I calmly said, “ you can knock that motorcycle over if you want I have two more at home and it’s in front of a shop fixing it isn’t a problem. Now the problem will be that you are so broke that you won’t be able to pay for the damages and that is an issue. You see Zanthus really hates when people run off and don’t follow orders, but you know what he hates more than that? I would give you a guess, but your mind hasn’t registered your fatal mistake yet. What he absolutely hates more than anything else is when people mess with or threaten his niece. Although I’m pretty sure Storm would get to you first. I know Zanthus wouldn’t be far behind. So do you still want to knock it over?” Dan turned back to me and looked at my face studying it very closely before his eyes went wide in fear.       I knew he wasn’t scared of Storm because he wouldn’t be standing here if he was, but I could definitely see that he was scared of Zanthus. Zanthus was ruthless in business and even more so when it came to protecting his family. Everyone that knew him knew that to be truth. Storm gave my hand a quick squeeze of support while we stood there waiting for his response. We didn’t have to wait long before he said, “I just came for my daughter and the money Paige stole from me. Give me that and I will leave you alone. You can’t keep Stormy from me she is my daughter.” So he still thought that Stormy was his meaning the story Paige came here with was a lie. The only part of it that wasn’t a lie was the fact that Stormy wasn’t biologically Dan’s child. A DNA test already proved that she was Storm’s child and even if she wasn’t I wouldn’t let her go back to the life she had before.       He was watching Storm while waiting for a response, but Storm was just looking at him like he was stupid. When Storm processed what Dan was talking about he said, “Dan she isn’t your daughter. She never was biologically your daughter. Paige just used you for your money and the best way to do that was to tell you that Stormy was yours. When she had what she wanted from you she took off and came here to try and get money out of me. Luckily I was able to get custody and Paige took off. So you can leave now so we can be on our way.” With that Storm and I turned towards his car so we could head to lunch, but Dan didn’t like being brushed off and he felt like he was being lied to. He turned to leave , but not without saying that he would be back. I had a feeling that this wasn’t going to be good and we were going to have some big issues with him. He really thinks that is his daughter and won’t listen to anyone about her not being his daughter. So I did something that I really didn’t want to do and picked up my phone calling Zanthus. I didn’t want to undermine Storm or make him think that I thought he couldn’t handle it, but I had to let Zanthus know because Dan was one of his guys and he wasn’t low level either.
