Chapter Forty-Three: Crisa

 I was jolted awake by a loud crashing noise and it took a few seconds to realize that I was on the couch. I started to chuckle at the fact I did indeed sleep on the couch so much for Storm putting his foot down on that condition. I looked towards the noise to find Thane and Chris standing in the doorway with Tyler laying on the floor. He must have been the crashing noise that woke me up. They were all looking at me like I was an alien with three heads, but the bathroom was calling my name so I would deal with them later. When I tried to get up I realized that there was an arm around my waist and it refused to let me go. After a few attempts to get up I flicked Storms forehead and said, “I know you are awake so let me go. I have to go to the bathroom.”

   As soon as he let go I got up and made my way to the bathroom as fast as I could. Once I was done in the bathroom I made my way back to the living room and found that the boys had already fixed the couch. They cleaned up last nights trash and laid out breakfast for all of us. They were all sitting on the couch arguing over what to watch while they waited for me. I snatched up the remote to put on the live action Mulan and plopped down on the couch grabbing a plate while I did. Out of nowhere Storm started laughing and shaking his head while grabbing his own plate. 

    We ate as we watched the movie and Tyler picked that time to start talking. He knew that annoyed me and with an injury he knew I couldn’t jump on him like I would normally, but what he didn’t count on was me calling in reinforcements. I paused the movie and looked at him before I said, “if you don’t shut up I will get you and you won’t be allowed to visit for a week. If you think that I’m going to answer any of what you asked you must have fell and bumped your head.” What he didn’t realize was that while I was talking Chris was moving into position behind him and as soon as he opened his mouth to retaliate Chris had him in a headlock. Once he was in the headlock I grabbed his hand and twisted his thumb back at an odd angle. 

     He quickly apologized promising to be quiet so we could finish watching the movie. The fun quickly came to an end as they had to get to work promising to come by after to check on me. Leave it to those little three to leave their mess behind, but before I could do anything about it Storm was cleaning everything up. So I leaned back against the couch and ended up falling back asleep only to be woken up by someone picking me up. Storm carried me back to my bedroom and laid me on the bed before crawling in next to me. I must have been more tired than I realized because I was knocked out within seconds. Sleeping next to Storm was the best sleep that I had in a long time. I didn’t feel like I needed to be on edge and ready to jump up in case someone decided to break in. I felt like I could relax because I trusted Storm to make sure I was safe.
