Chapter Twenty-One: Thane

I knew this day was coming, but I was not expecting it to happen so soon. When Crisa’s friend Bear came to me and told me what she had planned I was not happy. I knew she wanted revenge on her exboyfriend for having someone try to kill her, but I didn’t want her to be anywhere near him when it happened. Growing up it was always just dad, Crisa and me so we were really close even when I got older. 

When Chris and Tyler came into the picture they treated her like a sister and helped me protect her. When our father died I made the choice to stay behind and take care of Crisa while Chris and Tyler went into the military. I’m proud of my sisters accomplishments and I’m so grateful to her for allowing me to be a part of everything she has built. I just can’t believe that the day is here and we will finally finish her plot for revenge. It was too late for me to warn Chris, Tyler, or Thalia. We were just lucky that Thalia and Chris’s girl were unable to be at the event. 

   Part of me is furious with Storm and Otto for going along with her plan and bringing her back here. They were supposed to be taking her far away from here while we handled the situation. I would most definitely deal with them when all of this was over. I got word from Tristan that Crisa, Storm, and Otto were on their way in so I made my way over to Chris at the bar. When the bartender handed him his drink I let him know that Crisa was here. He was as mad as I was when I found out about the plan. Before he could stop himself he said, “ What the f**k is she thinking? We don’t have the security we need for her to be here. She is supposed to be somewhere safe by now.” I just pat him on the shoulder and turned to walk away when three familiar figures caught my eye.

     My uncle Zanthus just walked in with Crisa’s two best friends from high school Xander and Nikita. I don’t particularly care for the three of them because of their occupations, but I am glad they are here for Crisa. I nod my head to them in acknowledgment as I go to find Tyler to let him know what’s going on. As I walk over to him I notice the lack of females present and realize that the MC has been in on this plan even before I was informed about it which kind of hurts a little, but I can’t dwell on that now.

    When I finally make it to Tyler and let him know that Crisa is here, but I’m dumb founded when he isn’t shocked like Chris and I. He calmly looked at me and said, “We knew this day was coming. We all know that Crisa doesn’t run from any confrontation. That’s why we taught her everything we could to defend herself and had her take classes to teach her what we couldn’t. She will make it out of this victorious and he will get what’s coming to him. Have some faith.” Before I could respond Crisa was on stage and giving the signal that would start the final battle in this war.
