I was quickly engulfed in the fight as I was trying to make my way to Crisa. I knew that she could take care of herself, but I still needed to get to her. Knowing her she planned out every controllable detail to guarantee a victory. She learned that from my uncle Zanthus and her friend Xander when we were younger. Uncle Zanthus always wanted an heir to his empire, but was never able to have kids of his own. Crisa had a knack for it while I never wanted in his business. I knew when he was ready to retire she would take over for him even though I would rather she didn’t.
Chris and I were no closer in getting to Crisa when we were surrounded. I would have to trust Storm to take care of her while I worked my way through the enemy. Chris and I stood back to back taking in the men that surrounded us. The man to my right threw a left hook while the guy to my right launched a kick to my abdomen. I side stepped the kick and ducked the punch while pushing him into his friend. I lunged for the third one and grabbed the hand he was holding his knife with. As soon as I had his hand in my grasp I twisted it and drove the knife through his heart.
Jonathan really didn’t care if his people were trained in combat and this was going to make it easier for us. With the proper training I wouldn’t have been able to take one out so easily. The two that attacked me first were back up and charging at me. I pulled the knife out of their friend and threw it at the one that tried to kick me. It didn’t hit where I wanted it to, but it did the job and took the guy out. I got into position waiting for a sign of his next attack. He feigned a move to the left, but you could see that he clenched his right fist while relaxing his left. I stepped to the left and threw a powerful punch to his jaw. It was enough to disorient him so I got behind him and put him in a headlock suffocating him slowly. From this position I could see that Chris had taken out his guys and started to fight his way to Crisa’s side.
I looked to where Crisa was at the start of this and could see that Storm had made his way to her. The relief was short lived when I saw that they were surrounded and Jonathan had managed to make his way to her. It looked like he hadn’t even been touched which told me he didn’t want to get his hands dirty. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Tyler was also working his way through the crowd towards Crisa. I dropped the guy from the headlock grabbed my knife and slit his throat to make sure he was dead. Once he was down I started fighting my way to Crisa. He hurt her once under my watch and I would be damned if I let it happen again.
