Chapter Fifty-Six: Crisa

When I woke up the next morning I was alone and I know that Storm came to bed last night. I got up and went to the bathroom to do my business wondering where Storm went while I was getting ready. I carefully took a shower so I didn’t get my wound wet. It was hard and I should have asked for help, but I didn’t know where Storm was and this needed to be done. When I got done I got dressed and went to search for Storm. I decided to stop and check on Stormy on my way. When I opened the door I saw the sweetest site and I had to quickly shut the door to cover my gasp as tears came to my eyes. Storm had slept in a chair by Stormy all night. I wondered what happened to make him sleep in here after he came and got in bed with me. I’m happy that they are starting to make progress in their relationship.
I went into the kitchen to make breakfast when I heard the front door open and I saw Thane walking in. I didn’t realize that I was crying until he came up to me and wiped my cheek before engulfing me in a hug. I didn’t know why I was crying and I would have to digest it later, but for right now I just enjoyed the comfort of my brother’s hug. After a couple minutes we pulled apart and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. He sat at the counter while I made a big breakfast only helping when I asked him to. As I worked I told him what happened yesterday and what I believe the mother was doing. He came around the counter giving me a hug and kiss on the head telling me that he was proud of me after I finished the story.
Right after I finished the front door opened to reveal Chris, Tyler, Thalia, and Chris’ girlfriend Jordyn. It was a good thing I made so much food. I looked at them and told them to put the food on the table and not to eat anything while I went to wake up Storm and Stormy. I watched them for a minute before I walked over and started to wake them up. Storm jumped up thinking something was wrong and not knowing where he was. When his eyes landed on Stormy he calmed down. I pushed him out the door so he could go get ready while I woke up Stormy. She must have had a difficult night as it took me awhile to wake her up and get her to start getting ready. If we didn’t have to go by the school to get her registered and then go out to finish getting the stuff she needs I would have let her sleep.
I stayed in her room while she went to the bathroom to get ready so I could walk her into the kitchen because I knew that there was a lot of people here that she didn’t know and I didn’t want her walking in alone. When she was done getting ready we made our way to the kitchen and found Storm waiting for us on the way. Storm walked in first concealing Stormy from everyone. When I walked in the room I could see that they had set the table and the boys were already eating. I was furious they only had to wait a few minutes and couldn’t even do that. I looked at them before saying, “are you kidding me? I asked you to wait for a few minutes so I could introduce you to a new member of the family and you can’t even f*****g wait for ten minutes.” I could feel Stormy tense up and start shaking so I turned to her and said, “I’m sorry honey none of that was directed at you. Everyone this is Stormy she is Storms daughter. Stormy this is my brother Thane, his girlfriend Thalia, my friends Chris, Tyler, and Jordyn. This group will always have your back like your father and I. The only thing you can’t count on is them not eating all the food.”
