Her Rejected Mate

Prologue

Thanks for showing interest in my books.  This is the fifth book in the Silver Moon Series.  I recommend reading the earlier books, so you won't be confused on what is going on.

Tamara

    After Alexandria left with her mates, me and Teagan got more time training with our father and our brother Jonas.  Our father used to be the Beta of the Pine Tree Pack, and he's very skilled in the art of fighting, but he recently handed the title down to my brother Jonas.  Of course, that didn't stop our father from continuing to train with us.

    Even before learning that our lives were in danger, fighting had always been my passion.  Obviously, the knowledge of Chester being out there and scheming to get revenge on our parents was enough to make me and Teagan want to spend even more time training and practicing.

    I refused to let that maniac get his hands on me.  I didn't care what it took to fight him off, I wouldn't go down without the fight of my life.

    Teagan and I were a lot alike when it came to our way of thinking.  She was also determined to not let Chester get the better of us.  Not only that, neither of us had any desire to search for our mates, and we chose to not cast the Mate Spell like our older sisters and cousins did.

    Teagan and I also had a lot of other similarities.  We both had our mum's light brown eyes, and we both had pale skin, as well as, thin curvy bodies that attracted a lot of stares from the male werewolves in our pack.

    We also had plenty of differences.  Teagan's hair was black with dark blue and dark purple highlights.  Whereas, my hair was a shade of dark brown with a burgundy hue to it.

    Teagan liked to surround her eyes with black eyeliner that she paired with a dark purple lipstick, which gave her face more of a gothic look.  Whereas, I kept my make-up more natural looking, and I usually applied a dark red lipstick.

    However, when it came to our choices in clothing, Teagan preferred to wear skimpy shorts and revealing shirts that didn't leave much for the imagination.  Whereas, I preferred to wear tight jeans or leggings that I usually paired with a long-sleeve shirt that was also tight fitting.  Most of my clothes were dark colored, but Teagan had a variety of colors in her wardrobe.  

    Another difference in our taste was our preference when it came to shoes.  I preferred boots and tennis shoes.  Whereas, Teagan preferred sandals and heels.  

    Since, I had no intention of looking for my mate, I didn't feel bad about the occasional hook-up with one of the unmated werewolves in our pack.  Dustin was the son of Fay and Justin, and he was downright sexy with his gorgeous smile and muscular body frame.  

    He had the most beautiful baby blue eyes like his dad, and his strawberry blonde hair complimented his bronze skin color.  I couldn't deny the fact that I had a crush on him growing up, and we started fooling around with each other at a young age.

    Dustin was considered the playboy of the pack, which wasn't that surprising to most of us, since his dad was the known playboy before he took Fay as his chosen mate.  Dustin would usually seek me out before anybody else, but sometimes I was busy or not in the mood, and that's when he would turn to other she-wolves to get his needs met.

    Our relationship was of the physical nature, and neither of us let our emotions get involved.  He was very good at giving a woman pleasure, and there were times when we would spend the entire night in his bed.  I may not have wanted to be tied down with a mate, but I was still a woman with needs, and Dustin was excellent at fulfilling those needs.

    However, I refused to let him tell me what to do.  We did things my way or we did nothing together.  I had never been one to back down from a challenge, and I had never allowed any man to give me orders, besides my father, Jonas and the Alpha of our pack.

    I was a very independent woman, and so was my twin.  We refused to be pushed around, and we didn't hesitate to put somebody in their place if we felt it was necessary.

Teagan

    When it came to our attitudes, me and Tamara were very similar.  I never put up with any crap from anybody.  Especially from men.  I had never felt anything for any guy that wasn't part of my immediate family.  Generally speaking, I found men to be obnoxious and self-centered.

    I didn't care to look for my mate, because I feared he would try to control me or make me do things with him that I didn't want to do.  I found the male anatomy to be disgusting, and the thought of a guy's mating instrument being inside of me was completely nauseating.

    Personally, I preferred to admire a woman's body over a man's body.  I found women to be more appealing in my eyes, but I didn't think for a second that the Moon Goddess would mate me with a woman.

    Knowing that I would probably end up growing old by myself, I spent most of my time training.  I wanted to be confident in my skills to protect myself, since I expected to live without a mate.  Not to mention, Chester was out there somewhere, and he was a serious threat to our entire family.

    Tamara and I had both unlocked several special abilities, including the Ability of Speed and Agility, as well as the Force Field Ability and the Levitation Ability.  If I wasn't at the training grounds working on my attack and defense skills, then I was working on mastering my special abilities.

    The speed ability was my favorite ability to use alone.  However, I also loved to combine my other abilities.  For instance, I would start levitating in the air, then I would throw waves of my force field while still levitating.

    The first time Tamara saw me do that, she immediately started levitating and mimicked my actions with a grin on her face.  She was also a pro when using her abilities, and we made a great fighting team.

    Unfortunately, we didn't see much action when it came to using our awesome fighting skills.  I was glad we lived on a protected territory, but I couldn't wait to use those skills to do some good for others.
