“Where to now, Captain?” asked Sonia.
“That’s a damn good question. Away from those bloody pirates for a start. And away from where we’ve been. Let’s see…”
Drake studied the charts on the console for a few moments before speaking again.
“Alright, if we take this jump point, then follow these four, we’ll be able to choose from dozens of systems within a reasonable number of jumps. I’ll do some research on the possibilities.”
“Aye, Captain. It’ll be nice to have a lot of options rather than being stuck down a dead-end set of jumps.”
“Yeah, and it’ll make it much harder for anyone who’s trying to track us.”
“Unless they’re with us right now and using some form of cloaking. I don’t think the Phoenix Conglomerate will have forgotten us. Or forgiven us for that matter.”
