CHAPTER ELEVEN
CAINE READIES THE RESISTANCE
Caine had found himself standing outside of the resistance hideout. Apparently they had no idea he was outside or they didn’t view him as a threat. Or perhaps this was a test to see if Caine would be brave enough or stupid enough to walk on inside. Sure enough Caine walked on inside, if things went wrong he wasn't worried about it.
“I had a feeling you would be back,” Stilfadr greeted.
“Waited for me I see,” Caine laughed.
“I am no fool. The first time you were here it was for a reason. Am I correct?”
“What if I were the enemy?”
“You would be dead where you stood.” Stilfadr looked in all directions. Making sure to point out his men that stood in the shadows waiting for a signal to attack.
“Smart man.”
“Keeps you alive.”
