“I’m still alive?” Lisa said in shock. “How?”
“I heard the students in the cafeteria. They said you were in an accident and you’re in a coma for three weeks.” Jennie quietly said.
She knew she told herself she was hesitant to tell Lisa the news but the guilt and conscience was killing her. Lisa needed and deserved to know about what really happened to her. The room was filled now with silence.
Lisa on the other hand suddenly saw a flash of memories in her head, remembering everything about herself. She remembered it was snowing and there was someone calling on her phone. She searched for her phone in her bag on the passenger seat with her right hand while focusing on the road. She had her phone in her hand but it slipped out of her grip and fell under the seat. Since the road she was taking was just straight, she decided to search for her phone while driving. Just when she finally got her phone, she took her eyes on the road again but to her surprise there was a child in front of her car. It was too late for her to step on the brake. She ran over the child and the road was slippery for her to even halt her car. She turned the steering wheel in attempt to make her car to slow down but it only made the situation worse. She hit her car on a tree at the side of the road and hit her head hard on the steering wheel.
Lisa felt a tear escaped her eye. “Oh God.”
“Why, what happened?” Jennie asked.
“I can remember everything now.” Lisa breathed out and she gasped when looked at her hands. She’s slowly fading away. “Jennie.”
“What?” Jennie said with a hint of panic in her voice, she sat on the edge of her bed.
“I’m fading. I don’t know what exactly is happening now. This is scaring me.”
“Fading? You’re going to go now?!”
“I don’t know but I think I am.” Lisa said and her left hand was now gone. “Thank you for everything. I don’t know if I will be back to my body or I will just be gone. Either way, I won’t forget you.”
“Can’t you stay a little longer?” Jennie begged. “Where are you?” Jennie asked and she felt Lisa held her hand. A drop of tear escaped her eye. “I was really hesitant telling you this because I don’t really want you to go. It got me sad. This makes me sad. I’m not yet ready to sneeze to death just yet you know.” Jennie said and Lisa sadly giggled.
“So that’s the reason you’re acting so down?” Lisa asked and Jennie sadly nodded. Half of her body is the only thing that still remained. “Hey, if I ever wake up in my body I will find you.”
“You will?”
“Of course. Besides, you’re curious about how I look like, right?” Lisa lightheartedly laughed and Jennie sadly smiled. “I don’t have much time left, half of my body is gone.” Lisa said.
“Oh, um.” Jennie took a deep breath. “I will pray that you’ll come back to your body. I will never forget you Lisa. I’m really looking forward to seeing you face-to-face. I’m sorry for everything.”
“It’s nothing. Your help was deeply appreciated. Until we meet again, I guess.”
“Yeah, that better be fast.” Jennie sadly laughed. “I will truly miss you Lisa.”
“I’ll miss you too Jennie.” Lisa planted a kiss on Jennie’s cheeks. “Goodbye.”
When Jennie couldn’t feel Lisa’s warmth, she closed her eyes and she felt hot tears rolling down her face. She hugged her knees and sobbed. Jennie then heard a knock on her door, it opened and Rosé peeked her head in. She was alarmed at the sight of Jennie so she immediately went inside and gave her a hug.
“What happened?” Rosé softly asked.
“Can I just cry until I fall asleep?” Jennie asked while sobbing.
“Do you want me to go?„ Rosé asked and Jennie shook her head. “Okay, both of my shoulders are free to cry on for you.” Jennie leaned her head on her shoulder and she stroked her head soothingly.

Jennie woke up at the annoying sound of her alarm. She turned it off and stared at the ceiling for a second. She furrowed her brow when she felt something cool on the side of her eyes. She brought her hand to her eye and wiped it. She sat up and she chuckled and shook her head. It was her day off and examination week was over. She furrowed her brow again when she heard mumbling outside her room. She put her slippers on first and fixed her hair before getting out of her room. She saw Jisoo and Rosé talking to someone and her body froze when the voice she heard was familiar.
“Our other roommate is still asleep but she might wake up anytime soon.” Rosé said.
“And there is still one room left for you. You wouldn’t want to be roommates with Jennie because she’s got bad allergies.” Jisoo said.
“Who are you talking to?” Jennie said as she walked towards the two.
“Oh, she’s awake.” Rosé said as she turned to Jennie. “Jennie, we have a new roommate!”
“Really? Who?” Jennie tilted her head in confusion.
“Jennie, meet Lisa. Our new roommate.” Jisoo introduced and Jennie turned her head to a tall girl in front of them who was wearing a smile.
“Hi. You must be Jennie. I’m Lisa.” Lisa extended her hand. Jennie couldn't believe her ears and eyes, she widely smiled and shook her hand.
“It’s nice to finally meet you Lisa.”
