Ten years later Ethan I stepped out of the prison gates into the blazing sun which almost blinded me. The prison guard had reminded me to behave and what the consequences woulfuck if I didn't stick to my conditions. I didn't give a damn no one was stopping me from seeing Carly and making sure she knew that she was mine and I wasn’t going anywhere and neither was she. I don't even know if she had a girl or boy my informant couldn’t get that information cause that cunt in charge wouldn’t even leave a paper trail on her after my sentence it was like everything about her and the pregnancy had vanished there wasn't any records on databases so everyone assumed that she had miscarried after the sentencing no one believed she would have an abortion that late in pregnancy, but I knew her better she was a conniving selfish b***h and now that was gone, so was my kid. And if that was the case she would wish that she had never met me. A car pulled up and the door opened. “Get in stranger.” “Morrison what are you doing here?” He grinned. “Thank Damon for this he asked me to pick you up and take you home.” I smiled and slid in closing the door, I belted up and he drove away. “I had no idea that Damon and you were still in contact.” “Yeah, I daint think you’d end up inside but then again I never thought Damon would either.” “Me either but we all make stupid decisions.” “We do.” We talked like old friends, one I hadn’t seen since my army days. He chose to stay in the army whilst Damon, Conrad and I chose to go to those damn stupid camps. If I had stayed in the army then I would never have never met Carly Evans. “So where to Bro?” I told him the address of my home the one I shared with Carly hopefully she would be there to greet me she Amy be shocked to see me but I would relish in the thought of her and I f*****g. I was getting hard just thinking about it. We pulled up outside the house which Carly and I shared ten minutes later. “I’Fuckait here just in case it all goes south.” I nod and slid out of the car, closing the door before heading over to door knocking I can’t believe I had no f*****g keys I went in with nothing and came out with nothing. There was silence and no answer so I knocked louder and heard a dog barking. We never had a dog unless Darly had got one for her safety. The door unlocked and the owner of the dog helped it by the collar. She looked at me questionly, I didn't even know who she was eher ethecfuck was Carly? “Hello.” “Hi I’m looking for Carly Evans, my wife. We lived here around ten years ago.” “Sorry Mr, but fuckinght the house ten years ago and whoever lived here moved out.” She sold my f*****g house! “Do you know where she’s moved to?” “Sorry, I don’t.” “Okay thanks.” She nodded and closed the door. I fuckingaround and stormed over to the car, getting in, closingfuckingor. “No luck?” “She fuckigvnsold my house.” He whistled low. “Shibitchp> “I nefuckingind her.” “You need to calm down first Ethan, you don’t need to scare her, maybe she had a good reason for selling the house.” “It was my damn house, it wasn't hers to sell!” He nods. “You can stay with me for now, until you find her.” “Thankshit/p> He nods and pulls afuckheading to his apartment I need to find her she needs to explain what gave her the right to sell my f*****g house first she testified agaismt em anx told the cops what I had beingfuckng to her. Then she stood up for her prick brother. Anyone would think she was shagging him but as I understand it he and Jonahtan had a Civil ceremony. I wondered how long it would be before he turned on the charm with another guy that wasn’t Kyler. I wondered if he knew that Jonathan was with another guy? They had both fooled Carly into believing that they were straight as a die. It only took a few months of twisting for her to be in my arms and my bed no one would ever take her away from me. We parked in front of a large building consisting of maybe twenty apartments. I guess he liked bachelor life. We got out of the car and he set the alarm and I followed him into the apartment block. Luckily for us he was on the bottom floor. We headed into his apartment. It wasn't high end but it was livable. “I know it ain’t much but it’s just me, you can take the spare room.” “Thanks. I don't have any clothes.” “No probs, you're probably about the same size as me.” I nodded. I appreciated anything right now. “So what are you planning to do for work?” “I don't know. I haven’t really thought about it. I’m an ex con who will want to give me a job let alone a chance to show them I’m worth taking a chance on.” “Will you be staying around once you find Carly?” “Not now, the house is gone, no, I want a fresh start where no one knows us.” He nods. “I’ll help you with everything.” “Are you sure?” “I am, we served together Ethan. We’re friends and friends stick together.” “Then thanks.” “Dotn mention it. I know a couple of places that you can go if you don't want to be found.” “Much appreciated.” He nodded. “Theres towels in the bathroom no doubt you’ll want to wash all that grim off you from that place. I’ll leave you you some of my old clothes on the bed for you I’m sure you’ll edit on them.l “Thnaks.” I walked away and headed for the bathroom to take a shower. I could finally have one in peace instead of the inmates leering at my muscular body and my junk. I shuddered. Though they did it discreetly most of the time I knew they would pounce the moment I was alone, but I was never alone thanks to Damon. Once I showered I got dressed and headed into the lounge where Morrison was casually spread across the one sofa. He looked up and smiled. “I made you some grub. I guess you're hungry. I know they feed you s**t in that place.” “Thanks I’m f*****g starving.” He grinned and went back to watching whatever s**t was on the tv. I sat down and began to eat and sipped the glass of lemonade. Once I was done I set it down and I'd take it to the Fuckhen later. “So are you going to look for Carly tomorrow?” “I am, but honestly I don’t know where to start.” “Ask around town then go out further, find her friends and talk to them and see if they know anything.” “I will.” Now I had a plan I would find her and she would pay for ever thinking that she could leave me. We watched TV and chatted for a while before I got tired. “I’m heading for bed.” “Sure.” I picked up the dirty plate, cutlery and glasses and took them into the kitchen before I headed to bed. I crashed on the bed and sleep took over like a second skin. I woke way too early. Morrison was already up and dressed in a suit. I have to go out to the office for a few hours. You'll be okay here for a whole won’t you?” “Yeah sure. I’ll be heading out soon, once I’ve woken up.” “Ive left you the spare key on the hook by the door and the code for the door is on the piece of paper on the table.” “Thanks.” “Eat whatever you want, okay.” “Sure.” “I’ll see you later and good luck.” “Thanks.” I was going to need it. He nods and heads out, closing the door behind him. I make coffee and have some cereal. I sit down and eat my cereal and drink my coffee. Once I’ve fully woken up I head into the bathroom freshen up and relieve myself before heading into the bedroom and getting dressed. Once my trainers were on I grabbed the piece of paper, putting it into my pocket and grabbed the keys and headed out. Closing and locking the door. It all proved to be a waste of time. Carly wasn’t where I had expected her to be, at her clinic instead I was attacked with clinical looks which suggests that they knew what had happened between us. They told me she left ten years ago and left someone else in charge. I spoke to them but they didn’t have a forwarding address. If they had they certainly wouldn't be giving it to me. I asked around and no one had seen her or even recognised her which seems weird as she had lived here most of her life and had the clinic. I had no idea if she had opened up another practice or not. I went back to Morrisons, defeated.
