Chapter 27
Kat and I got to know each other better as we sat, watching the party. She was from the Half Moon pack which was a couple of states away. They had traveled pretty far to be here. Her family were warriors and she was supposedly a pretty scrappy fighter. I was trying to keep my eye on Liam and Rachel all night but it was hard. There were so many people filling the room. It really seemed to engulf them. When I finally did catch a glimpse of them, I saw Rachel hanging off Liam's arm with a big grin on her face. Liam didn't seem to notice, and mostly talked with other men. I tried not to let it bother me, but it did. It was like seeing them as a couple again. Rachel tried to lean into Liam and he took a step aside. That was reassuring. He was at least trying to keep her at a distan
